Fallout 3
critically hit Fable 2 in the eyes for three. Well, three spots off the UK Software Charts by the start of November, that is.

Fable 2, which was previously enjoying the top spot on the UK Software Charts just a few days ago, dropped down to fourth on November 1st as it plummeted by 51 percent. The second and third spots were taken by FIFA 09 and Wii Fit respectively.

The new reigning champ is, unsurprisingly, Bethesda's Fallout 3 which enjoys the number one spot in each of its individual platform categories (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). In just two days time it's already sold more copies than all other previous Fallout titles combined. Yes, even including the spin offs Fallout Tactics and Brotherhood of Steel.

It should be interesting to note that Bethesda Softworks' 360 launch for Fallout 3 has also outsold that of their previous game, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, by more than half. With critics and fans already piling on the compliments, the future is ironically looking very bright for this dystopic post-apocalyptic RPG.

Here's the top ten for week ending November 1:
  1. Fallout 3
  2. FIFA 09
  3. Wii Fit
  4. Fable 2
  5. PES 2008
  6. Far Cry
  7. Quantum of Solace
  8. Lego Batman: The Videogame
  9. Mario Kart Wii
  10. Saints Row 2
