Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu recently gave out scores on today's
hottest titles. Four reviewers would score a game on a scale to 10,
with 10 being the highest. With a score of 10, 10, 9, 10, Grand Theft Auto 4 (PS3, Xbox 360) tops the charts, slightly edging LittleBigPlanet, which scored 10, 10, 9, 9.
It's quite remarkable that no game on that list even scored a 9. It seems that GTA4 and LittleBigPlanet stand out as today's hottest titles - at least for Japan. Maybe we can see more of LittleBigPlanet as soon as the recall controversy dies down, but hats off to GTA for another great title. Related articles:

I Still cannot believe peoples obsession with GTA IV, its one of the most boring games i've played in years.
not to mention the graphics were completely lacking (compared to other games out at the same time)
unoriginal boring and a complete waste of money, i didn't even play it after a couple of days
traded it in and bought unreal tournament - which was much more fun

Gta4 is a good game, people just expected to much from it.
It was far from boring your just jumping on the gtahate bandwagon.
Next I suppose you'll say the poorly made saints row 2 is better.

had great graphics, and it was extremely fun, but after a while it got way too repetitive.
Get call, go kill.
That's the entire game pretty much...

You could have used your imagination on some of the missions and had a lot more fun. Most of the fun comes because you can have multiple ways to complete every mission.

GTA4 was super boring and repetitive, I didn't know their was a gta hate bandwagon, I assumed I was in the minority since it got so many 10s, I loved all the ps2 gta's and liberty city stories on psp, even gta advance, but it was vice city stories when I really started getting tired of the same thing over and over, finally gta 4 convinced me I'm done with the series
