Famitsu, who recently just released its results for Japan's top video games as voted by gamers themselves, does it again by releasing their own top list of games, this time as rated by their own editors.
The rankings are based on ratings that are determined by four editors. Each editor gives the games a score out 40. With the tallying of scores, a Nintendo DS game leads the pack, with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on top.
Interestingly enough, almost half of the list is dominated by Xbox 360
games (or their corresponding version), so it's a bit of a shame that
the Xbox 360 is trailing behind in Japan's hardware charts.
Stranger still is that the list only has one Wii game, which is surprising considering that the console is extremely popular in Japan. But anyway, here are Famitsu's top 25 games for the year of 2007:
