We have another PSP ad here for you all, except this time, it isn't cryptic, it isn't mysterious, it doesn't befuddle, it doesn't try to make you ponder on the meaning of life, the universe, and everything (besides, we already know the answer to this, right?), and it doesn't involve talking dustballs. What we do have here is a fan-made commercial which was made and uploaded by jazzology2000 over at YouTube, which unlike other PSP ads, tells you exactly what you want to know about the PSP, and actually makes it all look fun. |

DAMN!!! thats tight, they should definatly air that *****
That is a great commercial, too bad Sony won't take some advice and put one like that out...
The new PS3 commercial is so stupid.
So is The Wiis + 360s.
this comericail needs some editing (much like my spelling) the box is biger than the screen
Thats a great commercial... better then anything Sony has made so far...
ive seen a real commercial like this a couple times
with the billboards and stuff,
with a guy walking around and looking at pictures on his psp, and looking up at billboards with the same pictures, and he's like, chasing a girl or something. does anyone know what i'm talking about?
but that was lame as hell compared to this one. and you says it's fan made?? damn, fans made the PSP better than sony, and now the commercials too.
yeah dude ,thats more of acom. for the pro duo than a psp
Way too long for airing. Author needs to shorten it up a bit.
you could take out the end when it goes over all the features again, and it would be around 45 seconds i think...but i didn't measure lol
42
I agree with that 42 times over.
Asome, better then talking dust balls
XD
what a great add
That is a ridiculously good ad.
Props to Jazzology & whoever else made this.
thats just amazing dude....
End of story simply an amazing ad and a great way to showcase this authors work by putting it on YouTube and letting the masses respond to it in such a positive way.
lol, tried that, need to watch out for intersections/lamp posts/walking straight :P
That commercial makes a hell of sense than talking dust balls.
Sony needs to hire the guy that made this commercial.
This commercial isnt much different then the one where they toss the PSP from person to person. But for some reason the dustballs and squirrels are what you remember. Maybe Sony 'does' know what its doing!
oh yeah i remember that commercial, i liked that one, and i like what i think is the very first one with the guy skateboarding listening to his music on the psp.
I really love this now if only PSP would get some of its stronger titles out in the US. Its completly abandon its Us market and totally focused on making it succed only in europe it appears.
Europe gets screwed over and you know it. Games are always late over here ie socom, syphon filter, infected (I know its not brilliant but my point is it only got released a couple of months ago over here, like syphon filter, but is an incredibly old title)
The psp was released a year late, the same is likely to happen with the ps3
And when on the rare occasion titles get released early in europe, there either crap like gangs of london, or have a much superior version released later in the us ala pursuit force
So dont even think sony focusing on its european market. The US and Japan deffinetly come first to them
fozzy is right
that was awesome, but it was a little to long.
User created? Wow, that is one bad-assed commercial. GJ
This commercial shows wat the psp is all about...unlike sony commercial...just plain dumb. Sony should air this asap....
thats a sick commercial, very professionally done. sony should take a look at it and air it.
i don't know why people are so amazed that its not made by sony... theres tons of people out there who do these things for fun, just because they can. Just because it's amazing its hard to believe anyone made it? lol its not very difficult if you know what your doing people.
And the funny thing is... everyone is saying how its better than the talking dustballs and stuff and that the talking dustballs commercial is stupid... however, why is it that everyone remembers the talking dustballs? Sony's marketing team is smarter than you think. I guarantee people will not remember this commercial a while from now, yet they will still remember the dustballs.
Just take a minute to think about why you remember the dustballs... you don't know why... but you just do.... that my friends, is what we call MARKETING.
does anyone else think this is fake? Its hard to make an ametuer video and get really good look models like you see in this....not to mention it could have been a little less elaborate to get the point across....the youtube user has never made any comments, posted video, listed any favorites, or any of the standard youtube stuff...and doesnt have a director account....
a few companies have tried to sell there products for cheap with "fan made" videos...posting them to various website and then letting people tell other people....
i just dont buy into this
I can't believe no one has commented on how hot that first girl is... some sort of latino mix... but damn... if I saw a girl like that with a PSP.... I'd be in heaven. Geeky + hot girl = DAMN HOT!
this commercial is pretty good, and it does some up all the main features of the psp.
The only thing i can really complain about is how it doesnt mention that you need that location free player "base station" -(i forget what it's called) to actually watch tv live.
apart from that, yeh it does look good. far better than whatever the hell that dustball-thing was i saw the other day. a load of crap if you ask me.
Sony should start listening to it's feedback from the people who actually play the games, and instead of trying to crack down on homebrew games, applications and modifications, they should accept them.
holly crap, this is a supa sweet commercial!
Greetz, Stiruam
amazing
You can play games, but you cant play homebrew and emulators. =(
Just because you remember talking dustballs doesn't mean you want to purchase a PSP.
In marketing you have to do more than have a memorable commercial... you have to market the product. Talking dustballs and squirrels (both borderline racist charactures) are memorable for their weirdness, and not the product. Does anyone remember what any game the dustballs were trying to sell? I know I don't.
The reason this commercial is better is because it actually tries to sell the product... the PSP. And it's visually interesting enough to keep the attention of the consumer. Sure it's not some crazy commercial that everyone is going to remember, but it features the product and not talking dustballs/squirrles/baseballs etc.
Although i agree, they did market Pursuit Force, Tekken and the WHOLE PSP in a few commercials.
how are they borderline racist?
ooohh noooooooooeeesssss i ntried to do the psp back flip at the end and my psp fell hard on the ground and now it's brokeen noooooooo!! :'(
What a brilliant concept! Not a nut or a dust?? Wow!
I think a commercial should display the specifications of the product..Think of a boy that has no idea of what a PSP is..He sees a stupid commercial with some microbes or squirrels, and after that commercial he still has no idea of PSP..
This commercial is very successful,I hope Sony considers about it..
yes ....yes..... yes......
this ad makes me wanna go buy 1.....:)
so for me it works
so sony pay attention......
