From the world famous PSP duo Fanjita and Ditlew comes an update of their eLoader, codenamed Bière d'Alsace! This version is more configurable than the last one and more stable as well. Since the first exploit was found that allowed homebrew to be played on 2.0+ firmware (the toc2rta TIFF exploit), 2.0 owners have been waiting for improvements like these. Multiple bug fixes have been instituted making this the most promising loader yet for 2.0+ users wishing to get a taste of homebrew. With the addition of more infra red support and a foolproof installer that makes getting the loader onto your PSP a breeze, this is sure to be a popular update.

Major new fixes in this release:

  • Automatic installer for Windows users
  • Stable support for all v2.0+ firmware
  • More available memory for applications
Lots of bug fixes including:
  • Corrupted savegames with automatic installer
  • Stability of the TIFF loader
  • Removed most crashes with L+R+Start
  • Replaced the beta icons
  • Improved the editability of the file paths
Make sure to check out the list of compatible programs using the TIFF Exploit and the GTA Exploit.

 » Great

Not a big improvement on the eloader itself. But i do like the how you can get out of pesky crashes while testing eboots.

What does "more IR support" mean? Will I be able to use IR on 2.6?

» Yet another bug with the new PSPU CMS

Hmm.. right now it says my screenname is mat_tokey... when really, my screenname is seventoes.... Theres another reason why i canceled my premium subscription, and encourage others to do the same.

   by Jake - 2006-03-08

Seventoes, why is it that you have no sense of patience or understanding? We just made a HUGE shift in the way this website is run. There are almost a dozen people working 24/7 to get things ironed out. There are things wrong with this site that you don't even know about that need attention - it's all being taken care of but it can't all happen at once. I find your readiness to raise a mutiny against the site pretty disconcerting and disappointing.

All problems currently being experienced are TEMPORARY! And the one you're complaining about right now is a mere cosmetic bug since you name obviously was posted correctly.

It's been 5 whole days since we rolled out this completely new and complex system at PSPU. It's not just a new look, the whole shebang was custom programmed from the ground up. Chill out and cut us a little slack.

i like how the site is being run now better than it was with or without the bugs

   by overflow.tiff - 2006-03-09

yes Mr. Trash, i agree.

and Jake, i'd be pretty pi$$ed too if someone was complaining about temporary minor bugs on MY site, but i have all the patience in the world. its so much easier to navigate in the download section. plus the new setup just looks GREAT!

 » Horray

So if they keep on updating this exploit, sooner or later I'll be able to hit the sleep switch? That's all I really want . . .

 » I agree...

I think the new site is _horrible_, not just because of the bugs, its a cluttered mess compared to the old site, I only visit very rarely anymore because of it, I most certainly wouldnt get a premium subscription to it.

As far as the person having lockups with the loader, make SURE that you 'touch' the loader! If you dont, you have a very very high chance of it locking up and doing nothing.

In Linux you can type touch /path/to/my/file, in windows you have to use the utilities that come with the loader to touch it.
