Final Fantasy 7 - Image 1

Pack your bags, PAL gamers. We're heading off to Midgar. Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII will go live on the European PlayStation Store on Thursday, June 4. The PSOne classic was released yesterday on the US PlayStation Store along with Medal of Honor.

The press release for the PAL launch didn't mention any pricing details and I'm not familiar with the pricing scheme on the PAL Store, but the one on the US Store has a US$ 9.99 price tag.

AHHHH! I got this on my PS3 and it works great!!! but sadly it requires 5.50 and i have 5.00m33-6! anyone have a fix for this? PLEASE!!!!

The only fix I can suggest would be to break out your original FFVII discs (which any self-respecting fan still owns), rip it to an eboot, and run it with 3.90 pops. :) Yes, I know it defeats the object of buying it from the store, but deperate times...

Get hold of a 5.50 version.txt and activate it in recovery

Did you even bother reading the article?
It clearly states that the game was already released on June 3rd for the US.

 » Actually

It was released tuesday, June 2nd at 10pm eastern time.
Maybe for other regions it was the next day but not for me. :P

 » yea sony....

just keep these classics coming and you might make your quota with PSone classics alone. Every REAL classic you release on psn I will buy, regardless if I own the disc copy of the same game and a popstation EBOOT for psp. You will at least have MY 6 - 10 dollars....

 » 5.50?

Nuts. Guess I'll have to hope for DaX to release an update, though the poor chap is probably knackered after all his latest work.

I've got the original game on PS1, so I'm not going to miss much here, but I would like to give Sony some cash for this awesome release eventually.

You could try to fake the FW version, it might work...

 » Euro Price

I downloaded it already and it cost 9.99€ a bit expensive compared to the US$ price(9.99€ = 14.17$)
All campanies made the same fake currency change 1$ = 1€ and thats not fair :(
