I know many of you are probably squirming in your seats trying to find the previous Trigonometry Wars article because I said that the previous release was the final version, but 71M just couldn't resist updating his game once more before the NeoFlash Summer Coding Competition closes. There's only 1 day left (on my watch) for the NeoFlash, and our very own competition, so make sure you get your entries in now! We will surely have a huge amount of homebrew for you coming this week as the entries into our competition are revealed.

This "final" release of Trigonometry Wars adds diagonal support for the secondary control scheme (uses the buttons to move). In the previous version, you could not move on a diagonal plane, but this new release fixes that issue and other small optimizations. With this being the final release before the competition ends over at NeoFlash, we would like to wish all those who entered - Good Luck!

I know the competition's almost over but for someone who likes the analog on the right for shooting, maybe there should be "upside-down) play where you move around with the circle for up and what not and then you have the analog stick for shooting on the right hand. Sure it's be tricky to use the bomb but I think it's worth it.

is there music in it yet?

#5 Yes there is music. The last version had music too. I think it would be nice to have an option to turn off the music if you want.

Also, the original controls seem to have changed too. I don't like them now so I had to go back to the first "final" version. Why not make it so you can switch between the three control types?

Not sure about the relevance but there was an article on game industry .biz about another geometry wars clone called grid wars...

Mark Incitti, whose Geometry Wars "clone" Grid Wars was shut down this month, has told GamesIndustry.biz that Bizarre Creations ignored his offer to make changes to the game and offer full credit.

frugi just hit select to switch between the 3 types of control schemes. I doubt if Geometry Wars people will try to close down this. Grid Wars is on a PC which has a much larger user base.
