I agree with the site admin. I don't think that they should be charging for a simple little "shell" that is pretty crappy at the moment. There are many better shells out there that do everything PSIX does, and more. For example, PSP OSX is a good shell, and it's for free. PSIX hardly does anything useful, and we have to pay for it? Forget that. :|

I really dont like this idea of charging money for homebrew, especially if you upgrade, then it becomes unusable, and the fact that most other homebrew developers give there work away for free. But I suppose Fluff can do what he wants, so best of luck to you.

However, most homebrew is free and should be free regardless of how useful it is because it is bulit upon the PSPSDK from the guys over at ps2dev.org, who don't charge for the use of their tools. I personally think that charging $10 is the only real way to keep morons from filling the forums over there with flames... it also kinda ensures that the users who get in and receive the test builds actually value being there (unlike what appears to be the case of a tonne of anon cows on this site)

Yes ps2dev.org did supply the tools but did they supply the time or talent needed to make it? No the tools are nothing without a person skilled enough to use them. It's like sculpting tools or paint brushes are just tools it takes talent to make a sculpture or a painting. I won't be buying this not because of the price but because I just don't need a psp shell.
