You know, for the longest time since last year's TGS we've been asking about in-game PS3-PSP connectivity in Formula One Championship Edition (also ran under Formula One 2006 once or twice). Didn't see it in the demo, didn't see it in the videos, didn't see it in the screenshots. Well, Something Awful forum member seiferguy, while compiling media stuff on F1CE, found the interview with Newsweek's N'Gai Croal we saw before, and highlighted the point where he talks about the PSP as a rear-view mirror.

Then seiferguy also found this image he claims was "leaked".

What should we do now? Call Mario Mario? - Image 1

Talk away, but please, as with all sorts of leaks, remain skeptical or call a plumber. seiferguy cites another Something Awful member who doubts that this is true, but then Sony Liverpool did mention this in an interview. To be on the safe side, we'll keep it under Rumor until confirmation.

Strange, though, that we haven't heard much about this detail from Japanese F1CE drivers, who already have the game (except for online multiplay) in the Land of the Rising Sun. Hey, anyone there, can you tell us if Japanese versions of the game have PSP connectivity?

It's been a couple months since we last heard from the developers of Formula One 2006 for the PSP. Now some screenshots have just emerged, and we're posting all of them here for you to enjoy.

If the info we have about the game holds true until now, Formula One 2006 will allow PS2 and PSP gamers to play against each other in the 18-race season of the game via the internet. A total of 18 gamers will be able to play the game simultaneously. The game is set to be released July 28.

Feast your eyes on the newest screenshots of SCEE's Formula One 2006.

All eyes may be on Jenson Button at this year's British Grand Prix, but that could change as Sony Computer Entertainment presented Keeley Hazell as the new female face of Formula One 2006 for PS2 and PSP. Keeley is set to boost adrenaline levels as she injects some fun and glamour at the Grand Prix.

Keeley Hazell has this to say: I'm very excited about this new experience. The British Grand Prix is my first opportunity to see Formula One cars in action and I can't wait. Fast cars and boys - what more could a girl want...

Formula One 2006 features all of the season's drivers and cars sporting their official sponsors' livery. F1 fans will experience the thrills of non-stop driving action from 18 circuits around the world including Sakhir in Bahrain, Monte Carlo, Silverstone, Shanghai and Interlagos. It will zoom to retail shops in July.

F1 06 Logo

Some new screenshots for the latest installment of the F1 series have been released. And they really look great. This time, the game seems to have included a lot more features. There is certainly more info available on-screen.

One of my greatest complaints with the earlier F1 title was the the gameplay was too arcadish. Sure, it was good for pick-up-n-play, but for a diehard F1 fan like me, it offered nothing great. Let's just hope that they've made a game a little more difficult and less arcadish.

Formula One Racing
With the new Formula One 2006 game, PSP and PS2 gamers will be able to play against each other via the internet. Gamers can race online and complete the 18-race season, as if they're actually driving in the championship season.

As this is the only official game of the 2006 FIA F1 World Championship, there will be new features and it will be loaded with the official circuits, rules, teams, cars and drivers exclusive only to the Formula One 2006 game.

The extensive career mode is also present in this game which will allow gamers to play the role of anyone in the game, like the role of Chief Engineer.
