While "Q1 2007" sounds like a cool release date for JoWood Production's Freak Out title for the PC and PSP, we thought you may be hungry for more details. This time around, we'll be releasing just a couple of more information snippets, including a more specific launch date - expect this sports title to slide into retail this March. As for the rest of the game features, players can expect the following:

Time to put on those ski masks and hit the slopes. Coldwood Interactive and JoWood Productions are breaking the ice with another winter sports title. Freak Out: Extreme Freeride is set to come out for the PSP and PC on Q1 2007. Featuring the song "One Time Young" by 3 Feet Smaller, this trailer takes you for a snowy rush down a mountain. Spinning, rolling, and side-winding along the way, you'll need lots of hand-eye coordination to best this game. Other than that, at least the soundtrack is tres cool. And nope - there won't be any Chic songs in it, despite the game title. Check out the trailer below!

More than a week ago, we told you guys that the teaser site for Freak Out Extreme Freeride is already up, where we're first given a glimpse of how the game looks like. Now knowing you guys, you're probably not satisfied with just three measly screens, right? So...double that and you can sum up what we have for you today! Hahaha. Yeah-huh, six brand spanking new screens from Freak Out for you to err..get all freaky with? That doesn't sound right, scratch that. ANYWAY, this game is supposedly going to give skiing a new name: from a family-trip-to-Vermont-activity to extreme-kickass-stunt-pulling sport. Intrigued, aren'tcha? So let's cut to the chase and just get on to the screens, whaddya say? (By the way, the screens below are from PC, the ones above are probably from PS2, and sad to say, we have yet to score PSP screens for you guys. But hey, at least you get to see how it looks like, yes?) |

The teaser page for JoWooD Productions' upcoming title Freak Out is now online. If you aren't familiar with what Freak Out is all about, think freestyle skiing. The game will be out for the PC, PS2, and PSP. JoWooD claims the the game is about no rules, Stylish jumps, extreme speed, crazy stunts and no barriers to prevent players from experiencing freestyle skiing freedom. Here be some screens of all the supposed freedom: If we go on talking about this game, we might be accused of "pimping" the game, so we'll just give you guys the link to the teaser site (via the 'Read' link below) and let you guys check it out yourselves. Well what do you guys think, Freestyle fun, or Xtreme re-hash? |

JoWood Productions, the Austrian game publisher who gave us countless PC games such as Gothic, the crazy but admittedly entertaining Neighbors from Hell (not to mention various games for the GameCube, ps2">PS2, Xbox and Game Boy Color), confirmed that there's a new PSP game being developed for them by Coldwood Interactive.Details are scarce at the moment, except that the said game, Freak Out was described as the ultimate freeride skiing experience and will offer the steepest slopes, thrilling stunts and dangerous action… in a battle between you and nature. Freak Out is expected to be available around the first quarter of 2007 for the PSP. For more details, just stay tuned here at QJ. |
