Sony PSP red - Image 1Looking for a completely server-free radio player portal for firmware 3.80? We've got one for you right here. Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew coder FreePlay is back and he's releasing FreeRadio version 1.0. This new portal has the following features:

  • Shoutcast playback
  • Streaming MP3/AAC playback
  • Podcast browsing/playback
  • Remote playlist streaming
  • Web browsing
  • Links to both official Sony radio players
  • Customizable lists of Shoutcast stations, podcasts, and raw audio streams
For installation, FreePlay instructs us to "just do what the folder name tells you to do The files go into the root of your PSP, a.k.a. MS_ROOT, ms0:/, X:, etc."

Just look for the FreeRadio icon to start running it. It's customizable, so setting it up to fit your taste shouldn't be a problem. As a final note, FreePlay says there are no graphics in this portal, but if anyone out there wants to add cool visuals to it, they can feel free to do so. Don't forget to visit FreePlay's forum thread to post comments and what not.
