Thats a pretty useful app there. At least it'll make web browsing easier.
Ps. Guess who's first!
1st the worst, second the best :p Unlucky son.
I don't really care about full screen support. give us larger CATCH size and I'll be happy! i hate it when i get the "Out of memory" error, pice of *****.
Your mom then your siblings!
they should bring out youtube support!!
klasse idee! werde es später gleich mal testen.
kann ich dann 1024px auf der gesamten breite des bildschirms betrachten, oder muss ich scrollen?
la tuya hijo de tu puta madre...
you once, twice, three times a lady!
How does this "[work] on all firmwares since 2.0. No homebrew support required," yet require a download? How does this even function? Is it some sort of proxy on your computer that recompresses the page for the PSP, like Opera Mini?
And isn't the scaling for this a lot like the PSP Browser's "Just-Fit" display option? Not that I'm complaining about this. Many of my favorite sites are rendered useless by the PSP browser (Digg, Facebook, et. al.). I'm just curious.
It's just HTML combined with javascript. You actually load it in the standard browser, and then it will embed the page you want to scale.
Looks like this one is an intriguing, locally-hosted script that resizes pages before the browser renders them. I admit, the PSP scaler is... lackluster, but it seems to me that it would just cause out-of-memory errors. Have yet to test it.
It's worth noting that BECAUSE this is just a locally hosted script, it DOES NOT WORK WITH 1.50. It works only with firmwares 2.00 and higher, since it requires a web browser to execute (which 1.50 is notably lacking)
on 1.5? just devhook any firmware to have the browser. problem solved.
Lol, you call this an app?
It's just a hack, not the DAX typ of hack, just an easy solution anyone would just make themselves in half a minute or so. I guess it's good for the noobs though
Dude, just because it's small doesn't mean it isn't useful. A hack is a hack, despite how much work goes into it, or what it does.
This is actually a very good app. Nice, simple, yet effective. I'm surprised that somebody hadn't released something similar.
Keep up the good work ;)
ok, it might be useful to some people, but still I wish to point out that it is no application
Go ***** yourself...
...that you know how to code it. It's not something just anyone to do; I don't know a thing about HTML or Java, so I know I couldn't, but I'm not a n00b to most other homebrew.
I have it on my psp now and it looks pretty much like is I just put my psp to just fit. I really don't see a difference.Could I be doing something wrong?
this is a great addition. its hard to believe that this hasn't been done before...
anyhoo, its very well built. with easy access to your standard bookmarks and a clean interface.
make sure that your configure you page setup to NORMAL Ecco Legendz. Press Triangle while in the webbrowser, and then select the box with the A on it.
Mitch
Now all we need is one that will let you use a keyboard on the web browser (you can get roll up ones dirt cheap) and maybe even something that let's your cache to the memory stick.
Right on Haanz, I was thinking the exact same things! Keyboard and Cache to Stick.
This aint more than a iframe -.-' This should have been 5 minutes of work =P
no real programming here. anybody could have did this in 5 minutes!
...no one did till now.
no real programming here. anybody could have did this in 5 minutes!
Let Google Pre-Format the webpage for you.
Google has functionality to change any website to fit for a mobile device such as PDAs, etc, and it works on my PSP. I use this all the time...
http://www.google.com/gwt/n?client=ig&u=[insert URL for website here]
For example, when I surf PSPUpdates, I use
http://www.google.com/gwt/n?client=ig&u=http://pspupdates.qj.net
and bookmark it so that I don't have to type all that again. And when I want to switch pages, I just replace the URL in the link.
I use this for all my web surfing, it's very very useful.
oh by the way, most of the links you click on the Google Pre-formatted pages will also be pre-formatted so that while you are surfing around, everything will be pre-formatted nicely and you will never run into the caching problem
u r da man
i have been testing this google thing since last night and i never run out of cache memory also u can close all the extra links and headers and stuff or choose to hide the pictures.
this is a great method whyser , everyone else should try this its makes psp browsing easy . thanx for the tip .
if you had taken 5 minutes to make and release this yourself then people could be flaming you right now.
Right on.
all you complainers about not real programming, and that any one could do it in 5 mins?? Well, then you should've spent the 5 mins and release one for the public. Wait...ur lazy ass didn't and can only complain.
Just cuz its not programming, doesn't mean its not useful.
second that
The point is that you are lazy for not making it for yourself, personally I didn't find any use for putting sites into frames, so didn't do it (my point at my first post on this newspost was more that it's a hack, not an app, than complaint btw)
I cant get it to work on 3.03 OE-C all the pages are still full size..... I set it to normal but still no go?
Read the readme! It's not supposed to automatically resize every website by just putting a folder in the root of the memory stick. You first need to load the file inside the folder in the browser.
Great app (yes, I call it an app). :)
I did what the read me said and it still shows full size. No matter which resolution I pick.
Mine still not working
i like it since now sites like wikipedia show up properly
well i like it i use it too. its very usefull to me
Nice, but I want truetype font support for PSP!!
This isnt an app or a hack.
it's a SCRIPT. God.
yes it's a script
and so useless.. damn put your time and work in other stuff than this doh supernerd
Full Resolution Doesnt help with the already low psp system ram itll only eat it up more and then we have problems browsing! plz add memory stick caching and all will be solved
this hack so good, it makes me think that 303oe-C is a dumb product!
Thanks for hacking my browser NOW every webpage is GREAT looking gorgeous dead drop! :)
