GDC 2008: The conference director's picks - Image 1With the Game Developers Conference 2008 on its way, events and conferences are abound. To make things easier for those interested to participate in it, Jamil Moledina, GDC executive director, has outlined some of the events that you guys could check out.

Here are some of the noteworthy conferences that Moledina himself listed as his personal favorites.

The Keynotes:

  • A Future Wide Open: Unleashing the Creative Community

GDC Favorites:
  • Experimental Gameplay Sessions

Speaker: Jonathan Blow (Number None, Inc.)

  • The Game Design Challenge: The Inter-Species Game

Why is Valve listed as speaking for porting from PC to consoles when there ONE example of doing so was a complete failure on PS3? Shouldn't they be talking to a competent company that did a good job like the guys who made Unreal and Gears of War?
