William Holt: if you see me this close, it's too late to save your life. Jimmy Patterson: Run for your lives, he's got a bazooka! John Baker: and when I get to heaven, to St. Peter I will tell, I raised hell! Hehehe.

They call them The Greatest Generation because they faced off against a relentless foe and survived a most brutal war that claimed the lives of millions - and still came out on top. Medal of Honor Heroes features three heroes who have made their mark in EA's Medal of Honor series: Lts. Jimmy Patterson and William Holt and Sgt. John Baker.

Jimmy Patterson, former Army Air Corps transport pilot turned OSS (Office of Strategic Services) agent, and the trademark MoH hero. He stomped around Fortress Europe in the PS, contacting and assisting local resistance forces. He's also infiltrated the depths of the Nazi war machine with false papers and disguises, then obliterated that machine with every weapon he could get his hands on.

William Holt, the all-American boy. Like Jimmy, he's in the OSS, too. Unlike Jimmy, who usually plays alone in the game, William, who made his appearance in European Assault, can also work with a squad (which was a major feature of the game) and has "natural leadership abilities." He also has this knack for being assigned to elimination missions, where he has to gun for key German officers in each battlefield.

And John Baker. His bio paints him as sort of a hellraiser as a child, which made him just perfect for the military his disciplinarian father packed him off to. He tore through North Africa and Italy in the Breakthrough expansion to Allied Assault, along the way joining up with the armored force of a more well-known hellraiser, the bad-mouthed tank puncher George Patton.

These are three of the Greatest Generation you shall take to the front lines in Heroes. But these are only three of the heroes that the series feature. We wonder if you will be seeing them in the game as NPCs, or if there will be a sequel in the works, such as Mike Powell from the original Allied Assault, and the French resistance fighter Manon Du Champs (or Batiste, if you still remember the PSX Underground - why did her name change, anyway?).
