Capcom Puzzle World - Image 1Bad news for players who are currently hooked on Capcom Puzzle World and who are currently running their PSP units on the latest version of the firmware (FW 3.5).

Capcom has detected a "potential conflict" between the title and the firmware which may cause a specific part of the game - specifically Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo - to crash. Capcom believes it's the same bug that plagued PSP owners with firmware versions 3.3 and earlier.

It should be remembered, however, that the bug itself was ironed out in firmware version 3.4. Now that the company is aware of this issue, its devs are working closely with Sony to get this problem resolved as quickly as possible.

So everyone just sit tight - you'll be able to go back to your Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo games before too long.

Stupid childish people who say their first really need to get a Fu(kin life. Comments are for comments about the subject (Glitch Alert: Firmware version 3.5 crashes Capcom Puzzle World). Any way, I hope there's a 3.50 OE CF coming soon. Theres probably a lot of new games that are going to have this. Theres probably a lot of noobs that are going to upgrade to 3.50 and ask why they cant run homebrew, LOL.

just because there is a crash doesn't mean there is an exploit. if you look at the speculation boards in the PSp section of the QJ forums you'll see this stuff all the time

Bwhahahahaha! That is just gold! Sony's own all mighty firmwares that are supposed to solve their homebrew problems are in fact cutting into their business. XD I am sure Capcom is pissed.

"however, that the bug itself was ironed out in firmware version 3.4. "

That's the biggest bunch of crap I've heard in a while. I was playing Puzzle World a few nights ago on 3.40 OE and they haven't patched any of the glitches or bugs. It was just as crash happy as ever.

"Puzzle World a few nights ago on 3.40 OE" 3.40 "OE" is not 3.40 Original firmware

   Re: EdgeKun (Unregistered) - 2007-06-12
 » Yes,

I'm well aware it's not the original 3.40 firmware. It does however make use of most the 3.40 functionality. As such I'd really think any fixes would be present in it as well.

The small handful of differences between 3.40 custom and 3.40 wouldn't even pertain to how games are played. Just ISO loading, PSX eboots, and 1.5 kernel mode for some applications. (And yes, i'm using the original UMD for Puzzle world. ;D )

3.40 OE also is part 1.50 so that might explain that. DUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
