God of War: Chains of Olympus screenshot - Image 1It always has been no holds barred for Kratos, and Japan's usual lack of love for western video games is just another obstacle he'll try to get out of the way. Capcom has finally announced that it will be bringing the Sony PlayStation Portable title God of War: Chains of Olympus by developer Ready at Dawn to its home country's shores this summer.

The bite-sized epic will feature Japanese voices with subtitles which can be turned on or off. Similar to its expected Mature rating from the ESRB, Japan's CERO gave God of War: Chains of Olympus a D for players over 17 years old. Kratos is going to swing his blades soon in the land of the rising sun, and details are expected to surface prior to release, so watch this space for updates!

» Japanese lack of love for western games??

WTF.......all the Grand Thief Auto series were a pretty big hit. i don't think the Japanese hate western games. I'm from the U.S and i'm not japanese but i dislike most american games. Don't blame your gamers for hating your games. Blame most american games for being crappy, low budget and not indepth enough.

GTA was a good game and was a bit hit pretty much world wide but that's because the developers put the time and effort to make it a great game. Unlike all those half as@ american games that comes out after a movie or or TV show i can't think of one that is decent or worth buying..............................if you compare most american games to a games made by Capcom, Konami or SquareEnix then it's at a pitiful piece of cr@p. U need to raise your level up to the top dogs to sucessfully compete--instead about half-as@ing games and crying about people not liking it.

But God of War is a great series. Great work will shine on it's own, theres no need to worry your butts off here and usin the same old excuse they don't like our western type of games.

P.S. and if GOW doesn't shine in Japan like you expect it to be....guess what maybe the extremely short play through time might have something to drop down the overall quality of this game.

 » WTF!?!?!?!

Listen im 5 + hours in and half through the game. The length isn't the same for every gamer. Take God of War 1 and 2, both was stated to be 9 hours long. Yet me and others registered 15+ hours on it.
So i don't think its a short game. And lets say that if it was, the 1.8GB on the UMD is the reason for it. But still making an epic God of War game on a PSP that matches or could potentially surpass the second one in power truly shows the work they put into it.
Like what you stated up there.

EA is definitely an American game publisher and Developer, cause the games they publish and stuff is horrific.
