Tease the public and make them anticipate the product, dangle it in front of their face but keep it out of reach, give them just enough information to know they should want it, and they will desire it even more, likely increasing sales and profits in the long run.
This is a slightly uncommon yet effective method of marketing. When desire for the game reaches its peak and starts to decline slightly a release date will be scheduled (if it is not scheduled already).
