I hope it's true cause you know how microsoft has surpassed Sony's PS2 and PS3, maybe they can even surpass the psp!!!! But I won't buy it if it has vista on it cause it would then get a million viruses will downloading homebrew for it XD!!!!! But Halo 2 portable (and with wifi online) would be enough for me to cough up to 350 dollars!!!! Imagine they'd put 1gb ram and a processor as powerful as an xbox (the psp, meh, it's a ps2). OMG Halo 2 portable and online!!!! And propably has a better interface like all windows software!!!! First of all, a portable system like the PSP is nowhere near the power of a console, just because the size needed for all of the parts, unless you want to pay a pretty buck, and developers want there system to sell, even if they have to take it down a notch.

Actually, in some areas, the psp surpasses the ps2. I think it falls short on memory (ram and such), and I remember reading an article saying that the ps2 could send 2 commands per clock cycle or something like that.

i agree with you about why microsoft's leading, except for on the broken console part... Microsoft replaces inoperable consoles for anyone who bought and live in the countrys Xbox is released in.. so they generally lose money each time somebody's console breaks.
They don't however replace inoperable replacements.. which somewhat defeats the purpose for sending one.. so they do make money in those cases.

I like to think I'm not taking sides but from what I've seen, the DS sucks so badly I can fathom why it's doing to good aside from the childish asians that love that kind of lame $h!t. So one could say that the only reason it's doing so good is because it's for kids and asians. Regardless, the DS is pure junk! I own one and can't get rid of it. I don't even use it because it sucks so badly compared to the PSP. 360 is nice but the PS3 smokes it. Now I've been waiting for the X-Held to arrive and the PSPlite, this will be very cool if they are both showed at the E3. I'd like to see what the X-Held is capable of and whats new with the PSPlite. I haven't even touched a wii because it looks like an over grown DS and yall know how I feel about DS by now. So in short, I'm looking to the X-Held + PSPlite as real E3 news. One more thing while I am on my rant here. Buying a Wii does not make you suck. The Wii is a very entertaining console. You all need to forget new graphics and physics and go back to the game play. The Wii has some pretty ingenious stuff. It was designed as an inexpensive,fun and interactive system.

Yes! A hand held from MS would be cool, no reason to fight about it.
Yes, it is unrealistic to think about running Halo 2 on it (regardless of how cool it would be)
One more thing while I am on my rant here. Buying a Wii does not make you suck. The Wii is a very entertaining console. You all need to forget new graphics and physics and go back to the game play. The Wii has some pretty ingenious stuff. It was designed as an inexpensive,fun and interactive system.

On my current basis, you must not take the NZ Herald seriously. A lot of former employees there that worked in the technology division were anti-Nintendo fanboys. One that I know of is still working there.

NZ Herald is a terrible news site. I take anything on there with a huge grain of salt, and their print newspaper isn't much better.
In this case, there are rumours on the internets, these guys write about it, and that somehow validates the stuff they read on some other rumour site, because they're a "news" site.
Gah.

Being a New Zealander, I am ashamed that our biggest newspaper is spreading rumours like this. I wouldn't say that they're terrible, but if you get the chance, do have a look as to what "National" headlines are (i.e what constitutes as "news" in our country). Sigh...

like someone else said... lol the source is the nz herald, i mean come on... we all known that pspupdates is a joke when it comes to news, but man... this is like the blind leading the blind... nz herald probably got it from another sites 'e3 wish list' and reported it as news.. nz is so out of the way when it comes to videogames, so please, never ever look to nz sites for game information again... thanks.
