Hideo Kojima - Image 1Remember when we ran an article regarding Hideo Kojima's future plans for the Metal Gear series? While combing through the same interview, we noticed an interesting little statement from the developer regarding the PlayStation Portable.

Kojima noted that the PlayStation Portable audience, at least in Japan, is very different from the those who play MGS on the consoles. To illustrate this point, he cited his own son, who is in the 13-15 year old age group.

He noted that his child used to criticize the game until Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops was released for the PlayStation Portable, an event which lead him to this conclusion:

So it seems like the middle school kids are really, really having fun with the PSP. It might not be the Metal Gear series, but I would like to consider this audience because it's very important and new.

Could this mean that we'll be seeing more of Kojima's work on the PlayStation Portable? We can only hope.

Some new ZOE would be great. I'd buy that.

 » another one?

How about a second DS game first?
The PSP has had 4 titles already.

I'd love to see a remake of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake on the DS

Hopefully he'll remake both MSX games! Now that both games seem totally non-canon, it's likely they'll go back and re-do these games :)

But we'll need a Portable Ops 2 before though. Maybe base it on Gray Fox this time, tbh, I'm tired of seeing Snake (but he's still cool). Maybe Big Boss could be on the radio and random cutscenes, though.
