I’ve got to choose my words carefully so that I’m not misunderstood, but I think there are fewer developers around today who think about making a good game. As a creator, I find that sad, but when I see teams like the Assassin’s Creed team it gives me confidence. I want Assassin’s Creed to sell well. |

i smell inter-developer romance. =) if they put their heads together... talk about a great game.
Raymond sits down, shuts the ***** up and learns a thing or two from Kojima
sure, kojima is the king, but the girl did a damn good job with assassin's.
I do think Assassin's was a good game.. but.. Compared to metal gear its nothing.
Kojima has great ideas, its really crazy, but I think he's a lone wolf.
"I think he's a lone wolf."
Good. More Jade for me +)
how Kojima is really pushing the boundaries of gameplay in his next epic adventure.
Truly, using an oil barrell to hide in and then also being able to roll around in it to take out enemies....he must have found ex super spies and really picked their brains as to what a real espionage expert would do.....
Sorry but MGS is just too ridiculous to be taken seriously....and you people just encourage him...
Of course you'd pick the smallest non-major thing in the whole game. A part dosnt even matter. Its not like rolling around in a barrel is gunna ruin the storyline and gameplay. And yes its a little weird, but its little stuff like the barrel that make metal gear unique.
Has always seemed a little ridiculous, but that doesn't mean it's not an awesome series :D
A fitting exercise in synergy, this one. :)
The combat in Assassin's Creed is incredibly dull, guards come at you for dumb crap like not holding X and walking very slowly (so it takes forever to get anywhere), and you can only hide in bales of hay. Also, what's with the whole concept of re-living your ancient ancestor's life via the stupid animus machine? The whole game is a big time paradox.
Jade may be hot, but she has a lot to learn about making a game fun. I was pretty disapointed with Assassin's Creed after all the hype. She needs to be demoted to "hot spokesperson."
I think it'd only be a paradox if he'd actually been going back in time. Seeing as that's not what was happening...
peace,
CR
You do go back in time... Dosnt matter if its a memory cause your still living the past.
Mister Common Sense I agree with you on this one. Everyone thinks shes good at making games just cause shes hot lol, but thats not true.
No it would not be paradoxal.....as since these are only memories you are re-living, you actually have no way to change the future that you are accessing these memories in.
Also, you go back in time as much as you do when you remember your 10th birthday........but this also throws other kinks into the story.
Like why have a game based on memory, obviously memory can't be changed, so why not just play it through.....it's strange to cast someone into the role of someone just to access memory.....and if they do something differently then the original altair did, would this not effect what happens down the line....and eventually corrupt that final memory they are trying to access ?
Meh.....it was a good try for a first game, and it's a great building block for the 2nd one...
"No it would not be paradoxal.....as since these are only memories you are re-living, you actually have no way to change the future that you are accessing these memories in"
Actually it does change somthing. Him going back and re-living the past makes him have the eagel eyes in the future at the end of the game.
It was his ancestor's memories and yet he got the power, so obviously it had to do with him going back and running through it.
... but Assassin's Creed was awesome. A brainchild from these two might just sell ;)
what he wants...but the proof will be in the AC2 pudding. Mmm...Jade...I mean, pudding.
I really hope I wasn't the only one who got a drastically different picture from the headline of the article :/
Ahem. Um. Well, talking about the topic at hand, I think they've been in a few podcasts together. Just imagine if they worked on a game together 8)
I bet she did O_O
“If you don’t see the pain, you can’t understand what you’ve done, and you’ll pass through battles without taking responsibility for your actions. I don’t want to ignore that. I want players to think, even if it’s just a little, about what violence and war are.”
Reading this words coming from Kojima felts like playing metal gear..i dont know how but it does! Truly wise!
Should have a debate with jack tompson or watever the hell his name is.
