![]() UPDATE: He has released v0.62b+. He says about it: "Reduced the size of the default RAM available to games, in order to have smaller save states. Currently they are around 400 KB as opposed to the 4MB ones needed in my previous releases. I also modified a bit the Key profile menu. It is now more user friendly (colors, mesages, etc) and asks before overwriting existing profiles." Snatcher has updated his fMSX (by Osakana) fix to version 0.62a. This is what he had to say about it: ?This release includes all the fixes from the fMSX v0.61+ release (by unknown author), plus another minor update by myself, but one that might be useful for a lot of people. I added the possibility to save different key profiles. Since several MSX games make extensive use of the keyboard, and since you might have different key layouts for each of them, now you can save and load them from the KEY CONFIG menu. The option to do this is at the bottom of the menu. You have three "slots" to save them. I guessed those would be enough. If you guys want more, they can be easily added. Just to make things clear, the configuration and requirements are the same as for version 0.61.? You can get it in our PSP Download section [here]. You can discuss it in our forums [here]. Thanks for the email and the great work Snatcher =) |

We have the most complete and up to date PSP homebrew files section on the net. Here is a list of the latest versions (as of 6/15/2005) homebrew Emulators, Games, and Applications available for the PSP. But be sure to check back often, because homebrew is updated and improved daily; new releases are streaming in all the time! Also, this is a fraction of the total files we have to offer, so be sure to check files.psphacker.com for more! A BIG thanks to all the devs and authors of all these files, we all owe you a huge thanks!!!
NOTE: Many of these emulators have the option of running the PSP at 333mhz instead of 222mhz. The authors of these emulators strongly caution you that this could be harmful to your PSP. So far we have heared many people running them for hours and not heard of anyone's PSP breaking, but we must warn you.

An updated version of the fMSX Emulator for PSP has been released by Kamisama. It appears it now also has a virtual keyboard like the HITBIT MSX emulator (check keyboard.bmp in the zip file). You need the MSX BIOS for this to work, you can get it from other MSX emulators online. You can get it in our PSP download section here. |

A new version of the MSX Emulator has been released. This one does come with an Eboot, but I don?t have many of the MSX ROMs (even though 1942 is a choice game), so I haven?t had a chance to play with it much yet. I have been unable to find an english translation of the authors name, so if you?re interested in this emu, please post your findings about it, and the author, below. You can get it in our PSP download section here. (P.S: can someone make some MSX icons? I have this strange fascination with posting them? ya I know, too much coffee today.) |

The HITBIT Emulator for PSP has been updated by Seiko. While it does not appear to play games on hardware yet (or at least I couldn?t get it to), heres a rough english translation of the readme: In order the HITBIT emulator Ver0.03 [ in beginning ] to move on the basis of the source of the fcMsx v3.0 with the PSP, it is in trial and error. In combination with the mk.bat to your own environment, after modifying, please execute. Compiling in the /PSP/GAME/MSX folder of the memory stick, please insert the EBOOT.PBP and the other ROM images which it is possible. [ Reference of ROM image ] CMOS.ROM You can get it in our PSP download section here. |

Mariko has released his HITBIT Emulator based on the fMSX v3.0 source. HITBIT was a MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ computer released by Sony. I don?t think this emulator is just limited to that particular brand though as it does use the ROMs for all the different types of MSX computers. This version is not very usable yet since its in the development stages but its a start.
You can download the program, source code, and the necessary ROMS to run it from our PSP downloads section here. MSX.ROM - Standard MSX BIOS and BASIC code |
