An unknown Japanese homebrew coder has released a new update for gpSP Mod, Game Boy Advance emulator based on the original work done by Exophase.

The JPCSP team has released a new update for JPCSP,  the Java emulator for the PSP. The latest update has added a new feature in Savedata mode 11.

The Japan-only PSP title Evangelion: Jo made waves this week not because of its gameplay or anything, but because of a new anti-CFW feature built into it. It's not exactly new since there have been other PSP games that implemented CFW checks before, but it does drive home the point that developers are taking it into their own hands to keep PSP piracy at bay. Japanese homebrew coder Takka has released a new update for the unofficial game Boy Advance emulator for the PSP. The latest version of UO gpsp kai now adds a zoom feature and some more fixes.

An unknown Japanese coder updated the PCE for PSP, the PC engine emulator for the Sony PSP, and we now have the file thanks to PSP-ITA. The archive includes two versions of the program - v0.80 and v0.81 alpha and comes with a changelog - which is unfortunately in Japanese.

This week's crop of PSP homebrew was headlined by the release of GENyUS's custom firmware 5.50GEN-A. This new CFW supports all the functions of the official firmware 5.50 along with a couple of not-so-official features. We also saw some updates for great homebrew games like Apollonia and Wagic as well as for homebrew apps like the Custom Firmware Enabler.
