In the wide world of British gaming, a top ten list has been compiled to let us know just exactly what the UK gamers have been busy with for the past week.

In order of hotness, the list that has been released is as follows: UK games

  1. Cars (PC)
  2. Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (PSP)
  3. New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo DS)
  4. The Sims 2 (PC)
  5. World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 (ps2">PS2)
  6. Brain Age: Train Your Brain In Minutes A Day (Nintendo DS)
  7. Need For Speed Most Wanted (PS2)
  8. The Sims (PC)
  9. Animal Crossing: Wild World (Nintendo DS)
  10. FIFA 06 (PS2)
As we can see, The Sims still remain among the top choices, same as the New Super Mario Bros. game for the DS. This just goes to show that these two games are bound to remain as classics.

It seems that the excitement for New Super Mario has worn off, as GTA:LCS has taken the lead. Funny considering the fact that people are still claiming that the game isn't a classic and the PSP console hasn't taken off in the U.K!

Or maybe everyone has just gone out to find a copy for downgrading?

 » eloader

i think eloader and and the other homebrew running off the GTA LCS has heavily boosted the sales of the game.

» Cars is actually pretty good!

Cars is actually a lot of fun. First time in a long time that a game based on a movie is actually worth playing.

GameSpot is listing the PSP game even though it's the PS2 game that's making up most of the sales? They should know better than that... Or maybe it's automatic? Chart Track combines the sales of games across all platforms to get its data. So GTA: LCS for PS2 is probably first followed by NSMB. Remember, Cars is on GCN, PS2, and XBX.
