Dr. Neo has released a new tutorial on how to push your NEO converter/PAD support to up to 32GB over on the NeoFlash forums. Please note that this tutorial is only for PSPs with firmware that don't have the 4GB memory stick limit. Also, please be extra careful when following this tutorial.

Anyway, to modify the Neo 2in1/4in1 converter, you have to first open it up. When that's done, all you have to do is cut the "4GB" short line that can be found on the circuit board, under the Neo Cell. The same steps apply to the 8 in 1 Neo PSP Pad. Just open it up and cut the 4GB short line on the circuit board. Check out the images below for a closer look.

Try it out and let us know how it works for you. Again, please be very careful when you do this. These things are a bit expensive.

It would be cool if you could take the memory chip or part of the memory chip out of an i-Pod (like a 30 gigabite one) and intstall it in the PSP after doing this mod. So, then you could have 30 gigabites of space on your PSP. this is probably not possible, but one can dream can't they?

 » hmm

how about thinking logicially. You can use anyway between 32mb to 32gb. Maybe you have an 8gb SD card lying around collecting dust. Now your chance to use it.

"I DONT HAVE A 32 GB CARD HOW IS THIS GOING TO HELP ME???"

Open your ***** eyes.
The world does not center around you.
This is not something made just to help YOU.
Maybe SOMEONE ELSE has 8 gig cards and now can use them?

Jesus christ -_-

Why don't you guys in qj do it and let us know if it works ;)

 » It Works!!

I tried it since I had an extra neo pad lying around. It took me about 10min to do and was really easy. I had an 8gb sd card for my camera and tried it and it works. So far there are no issues with the mod the psp was showing a little over 7gb (after formatting).
Now I have all my homebrew and emulators/roms on one chip and everything is working great. It will read homebrew, Videos, and Music but unfortunately for the ISO users out there isos will not run off a SD of CF card with or with out this mod. So If you aren't interested in isos then you can use this mod and get a 8gb SD card here.

They are only 84.95 plus shipping that beats $300 for a memory stick pro.

 » So it's a multicard reader/writer...

Hmm why not make your own multicard reader/writer with an cheap MS card reader for the PC. There is even a video on PSP Hacking 101 on how to make one that should cost around 15 bucks! Just need some ide ribbon cable a cheap MS multireader and some soldering skills and your good.

Cool stuff. If I had the money for 32gb of storage, I'd buy one and do this

 » hd here i come

this reader supports compactflash, and compactflash has the exact same pinout as IDE hard drives. with some heavy modification you've got yourself a 20 GB storage spot from a gutted 4G ipod.
