Homebrew - TA-088v3 Identifier - Image 1

Dark AleX makes good with his promise again. Homebrew community, we now introduce you to the latest and the greatest: CFW 5.00 M33-3! One of the biggest changes in this version finally allows you to automatically bypass the PS Store firmware check that Sony's implemented with CFW 5.01.

Here be the short an' sweet changelog:
  • A bug was introduced in 5.00 M33-2 that made some games and homebrew not to work
  • PSN version check is now automatically bypassed without need of touching any setting
Many thanks to our trusty tipsters: Alexey86i, southsidexz, Supacasey, eddib, and MahSixFo!

PSN Works! By the way PSPUPDAtes is always late.

would we get the news sooner?

   Re: StingBlah - 2008-10-23
 » THIRD!

yea...i don't think getting the news 1 hour sooner would make someone's life. Get over it.

And dax- WHAT THE F@$%?! How do you do this?! -bows down-

psp-hacks.com

The site is maintained by only one guy yet, he always get's the story first. Some times months before QJ.

Go to PSP-hacks if you want your PSP news on time and without errors in the articles.

Go to Qj for more articles that go beyond the console (eg: sales, releases, games)

Qj covers more articles but PSP-hacks is PSP specific and gets the stories first (days in advance). You decide...

Yes, and at PSP-Hacks you will get news about EVERY F*CKING LUA APP that gets released.

Now nobody gives a SH*T about LUA apps, right?

Why are you here then? if psp-hacks is so great (which it isn't, i've been there. a rather drab site, but does have some good downloads) why not go there?

Anybody else getting an error when trying to sign into your playstation account? After installing m33-3, I get: A connection error has occurred. (80109F01)

   Re: Binary - 2008-10-23
 » ...me too

Just keep signing in and it will work. took me about 5 trys but worked!

   Re: bmax1 - 2008-10-23
 » tried 20 times..

still gives me the same error. i even tried using every possible combination of "use version.txt" or "m33 network update" even though it said we didn't have to... still no dice on the ps store.

i even used my pandora's stick to go back to 3.71 m33, then up to 5.00 m33, then to 5.00 m33-3, NO DICE

» FIX PSN STORE NOT WORKING (ERROR CONNECTION)

A simple solution to this...

Turn off psp completely (go into revovery mode)
1)Hold R trigger and power up psp
2) Go to settings where you'll find the "version.txt"

IT HAS TO BE DISABLE!!! OTHERWISE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO CONNECT TO PSN!!!!
(I figured this one out when I update my psp and wanted to go in)

I forgot to send this tip to QJ.net but hey at least I send word about 5.00 M33-3

Southsidexz!

P.S. Midnight Club 4 L.A. REMIX is a really great game

hellz yea. Oh BTW, don't forget to rename your game folder from 3or4 to 5.00.

   Re: sickofitall - 2008-10-23
 » well never mind

when I did it, nothing from that folder showed up. I just moved everything to the GAME folder, and it all works.

DAX! Complete genius, as ever. I shall find my way over to your donations page shortly - you are, as ever, much appreciated.

You would think Sony would want people with cfw to be able to use the store so they have more easier ways/means to buy the games.

you're thah MAN!

 » PSN Download error

Whenever I click on Download on a theme, the PSP freezes and when I click Download on a Demo or a Game, it takes me to a blue screen of nothing(except for a 0 button for back) and it won't download. HLP!!!

   by FreePlay - 2008-10-23

You can bet all these errors we're getting are Sony's attempts to fight off M33 by blocking us from the store.

That's the problem with a feature that's entirely under Sony's control...
