It was inevitable
Hope they get it ready for DevHook soon. ;)
This upgrade is nearly for nothing. I think it's just because of the homebrew , and the iso emulators. Sony don't want us to play homebrew :( anyway, i hope that this decrypter will work. It's good to know that some people can f*ck up sony's defense system ^^
i lol @ people who upgrade!
LOL AT YOU
does the tiff work on this firmware (the exploit hello world)
Thanks for the heads up JPRGO!
Whoops, I think you forgot ;)
in before the retards are.
They do an upgrade to counter the tiff exploit and it's decryptable like the 2.80 xD
did anyone try to see if the tiff exploit werks? Can someone see if it does.? Did they patch that up? I didn't see it in the disclaimer......
im lol'ing tears of joy right now.. i love devhook. i hope an emulated 2.8/2.81 will provide us with the upgraded memory capacity though. however much that new 8gb is, i think it'll be worth it.
Maybe we should save some time for the retards, before they even post.
1)No this does not mean you can run an e-loader on 2.8(1)
2)No this has nothing to do with a downgrader for 2.8(1)
3)No this does not in any way help TA-082 users.
4)No there really is no point in using this upgrade, unless you have no interest in EVER running homebrew, because I'm going to bet that nobody's going to bother hacking 2.81. Still working on 2.0-2.71 and then maybe 2.8, and by then 3.0 will be out, and nobody will care about 2.81 anymore except the losers that where dumb enough to upgrade to it.
If 8Gb is only recognized in 2.81, how do you intend to boot your 2.81 fw under devhook? From an 8Gb card which the 1.5 fw wouldn't recognize? Or would you switch cards whenever you boot your PSP?
Sony give up this firmware is gonna get hacked in the end.......
Sony loose.... AGAIN *two fingers*
the 2.80 decrpyter works with .81, so it can be devhooked. lol
expect sony to release 2.82
Think about it...do you REALLY need to have 8GB right now? There isn't any need at this time for it unless you wanna have a lot of movies which would be the only benefit at this time.
I know that right now, as long as you have DH installed on both memory cards, you can change them around after booting into an emulated firmware, and it doesn't cause any issues. Should be the same if an updated DH comes out.
look at there website lol....l
"Security
A Patch has been added to address securtiy vulerability in the system software"
Sony go ***** urself!
Sony is pwned again - 2.81 is decrypted!!!!
first off sony doesn't even have anything in the market yet that is bigger than 4 gigs. the only real reason i think they updated to 2.81 is so people wouldn't be able to have homebrew.
Can anyone say "lame"?
S orry
O wned again,again,again.....
N othing
Y ou can do
LOL @ #22

^^^^^ yes which is why this peice of crap broke when not even touched? rofl yeah i know what u mean. i gave up all hope in psp a while ago.
i feel stupid having a 2.8 but i am not goinmg to make that mistake again
DON'T AND I MEAN DON'T RELEASE OR MAKE ANY NEW EXPLOITS YOU FIND TO THE PUBLIC.
NOW THAT YOU HAVE DONE SO OUR CHANCES OF 3.00 FIRMWARE EMULATION AND THE PHOTO EXPLOIT WORKING IN 3.00 ARE OVER.
IF YOU WAITED AND KEPT IT ALL HUSH HUSH THEN SONY WOULDN'T OF KNOWN ABOUT THESE EXPLOITS AND WE COULD OF HAD HOMEBREW RUNNING ON 3.00.
If you can't use homebrew do you really need to be able to access more than 4Gb.
'If you can't use homebrew do you really need to be able to access more than 4Gb.'
yeh, LOADSA converted films, and when the official ps1 emulator is released all the roms for tht
