person above me... you could do that and wait days for it to be shipped or you could take 5 mins and do this... this coyld serve as a permanent replacement or just a temporary until you get your new one... your chioce.. but i like this one better than the normal one

Don't worry about them they're just flamers. As an engineer it's thinking on your toes and using what you have on hand. Great tutorial and very graphic

I dont see how cutting up a thumb tack is suppose to better than going to any game store that carries the psp and buying a case of analog nubs. But ill be nice and take it one step further, get any kind of analog nub you like (most are raised higher up than the origianl) and if you like a large one that you cant slip off of even better. Now looking at your origianl nub or even just guessing get a dremel and cut the shaft of the nub to the height of your liking. You can have it as low as the original or higer. I have a raised Dpad (capcom cover)so i made sure it was lower than that. I can play any fighting game going crazy with out touching the raised dpad and messing me up. With a original dpad your going to have see how you want if first to make sure it wont stick out and interupt your regular game playing. And for those you who will cry about how it no longer fits in your play gear dry those little eyes. Take the rubber out from the top and cut out a hole of according size for the analog nub. Unless you didnt cut it down low it will now fit in the case securely (and if not cut it down a 1/8" or so more). And about the hole you just made in rubber showing your nub, well go print out a cover and slap it on so now its stylish and fucntional once more.
