why solving the cube on PSP? in real its much more fun. and if you know once how to solve it it's very simple ^^ i solve it under 3 minuits
My best time ever is 1min42sec
Normally around 2-3 minutes too
the trick is in coding it you freaking moron.
I chinese guy in my classroom can do it around 45 seconds average (his best time is 29 seconds, you can't even see his hands well cause he moves those rows veryyyyy fast).
Why????
lets say 30 people or groups go for this....
then we just have 30 versions of something toss!!
why not do a compitition for something that has the potential to actually be good??
you can still keep it simple,
like an asteroids/geometry wars game?
wonderboy/adventure island??
Defender, rockman, jet set willy, mario, or anything that people might actually play more than for about 30 seconds,
i had the official Rubiks cube on my mobile, it lasted about a minute then i deleted it
shi__t!!
Please read this, you will be excited. When you click this link, http://xrl.us/ezymoney
you will go to a website that will show you how to sign up for another website that pays you 2 - 45$ (PER) to do surveys, sign up for trial offers, and test products.
Companies such as ebay pay CC to have people try their offers, and when you complete an offer, CC simply passes the money onto you. By spending an average of 3-4 hours a week on cascrate,
I have made 472$ in May, 412$ in June, and 271$ (SO FAR) in July. You get paid in real checks from "KNGSIDE MEDIA" every month that you earn 10 dollars or more. It may seem too good to be true,
but I assure you it IS true. Also, with their referral program, you can refer people by sending them your link (you get when you sign up) and for every buck they earn, you get 20 cents also! (Think how much money you can make if you have 100 people making five bucks a day)
You do not have to enter your credit card or social security number. Nothing Harmful can come from CC. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE 18 OR OLDER, I AM 15 YEARS OLD AND REFERRING PEOPLE, AND I MAKE THIS MUCH MONEY A MONTH
JUST SPENDING A COUPLE MINUTES A DAY ON THE COMPUTER! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR READING THIS.
Think it's a scam? Read this(from the website) "We assure you that this is not a scam! Companies need consumers to try and review products, services, and websites and are willing to pay money to have them do so.
Most of the time you're asked to do this without any compensation, what we do is take the money companies give us for YOUR participation, and give you back up to 75% of it!"
There are alot of websites like this, I have tried almost all of them and this really is the best, and legit one.In addition there is a new UK section opened with more then $200 worth of free offers!

sweet! i had been looking for a rubik's homebrew
nob
Finally! Great! I want that game!
A solver für your RL-cube would be nice ..
And a changable number of cubes would be cool too (not just 3*3*3 but 4*4*4 and so on .. these take some more time to solve that the 2 Minutes avarage for the 3*3 cube ..)
I can't code PSP games, but I have a controls idea for anybody who's interested. D-pad is to change the square you want to rotate, and face buttons to rotate the line in the direction of the button. Maybe hold onto L or R to do a fast rotation.
FIRST
Well Maybe we need to use 3D visuals to display a 3D cube and use animations for for rotations etc!
If i know how to do that, I would have created a rubix psp game ages ago.. Too bad I don't know how to do it +(
too bad there not doing this for the ds. The touch screen could really be good for this type of program.
At least homebrew is easier on the psp.
Yeah too bad it's not for the DS. Maybe if the DS didn't suck so much ***** it would be able to handle more then just mario.
Since mario is the only thing keeping ds alive.
30 to 40 second average for me to finish a real cube... but i would like to see how my arthrigoms work digitally.
I'm pretty good at it for being new to it. My algorithm takes me about 2 minutes 10 seconds.
$500? somebody doesn't realize what game developmnt costs...
$500 is nothing for a professionally developed game, of course, but for a project that someone would have done in his or her free time anyway it's pretty decent.
If one were to spend 2 days on this project you would have a finished game. Its not that hard to create a digital rubix cube
you guys might ant to check out this for ideas
http://www.ryanheise.com/cube/speed.html
i don't have a PSP but this sound pretty cool and i coudl make some of my friends get it
btw i average around 20 seconds or less for real cube so my suggestion for max TPS would be at least 6 and at most 12
5 min and the cube est faire
"The player will have to be able to play with his virtual Rubik's cubic in the same way as a real one in his hands."
Heh. To all the entrants: good luck with that. The closest you'd be able to come to doing that is with the Wii. *Not* the PSP.
a nob

Okay. I'll take that. Thanks :3
Sweet. But the DS is good enough =
i think this is a nice idea. Hopefully we will see some quality results, hopefully some 3d ones with the Beryl Cube effect
"$500? somebody doesn't realize what game developmnt costs.."
Well...the whole amount pays just 1 person :P
This is a pretty cool idea. Too bad I don't have time right now to work on this.
For controls, I'd suggest the analog stick for rotation of the cube. The row or column would be highlighted green and be the center most item (possible directional controls could move this...) the R would swap it from vertical to horizontal and the triangle, square, x, and circle would rotate said section left, right, up, or down respectively.
There should be an option where you could decide the color of each square. This would make it possible to "convert" the position of your real cube to a digital one.
I mean, i got a cube lyin around, and i cant solve it(call me stupid). But if i could make it so the cube on the psp had exact same position, i could continue workin on it on my psp.
here at kidsinasandbox.com/rubiks/psp some guys have been working on the homebrew and here is an beta

This would be so awesome!!! My cubing skillz probably won't get any better, but it would still be crazy awesome!!!
BTW, I average 22s on my solves
I been playing a Cube on my PSP for MONTHS now. just google "rubix cube flash game" and place it on your mem stick, then open psp browser and point to the .swf file. run psp at 333mhz tho, faster and smoother. but more on topic, if i was going to dish out 500 bucks to have something coded for psp, it damn sure wouldnt be no cube homebrew lol. you best be making me a friggin RPG or something. lol
