After being charged $100 for games, and $900 for a console (yes, thats US dollars, and for the PS3 but you get the idea), we finally have something to look forward to for ourselves, although no doubt partnerships will spring up in all territories.
I find this exciting beyond the PSP scene though. If this pans out, Sony have an incredibly powerful allie on their hands when it comes to media delivery. For those unaware, Sky is the dominant multiformat platform in the UK - together with their Sky Movies publishing rights, as well as all the contracts they have with the major players (BBC, MTV, Discovery, Disney... any multinational channel you care to mention), this *could* be the next gen decider in the UK, at least as far as media availability for platforms is concerned.
Please Sony. Don't screw this up.
