The Japanese Katamari Damacy website has begun its final countdown toward the site's closure. Gamers familiar Katamari may remember that the last time the site was "closed", it was re-opened a few days later to announce a new game in the series.

The site is set to close on March 17th, which is very close to the March 18th release date of the first Katamari title. Also, Japanese magazines hit newsstands on the same day, so the possibility that a new title is going to be announced is somewhat likely. Although this is only a rumor now, don't be surprised if breaking news comes up in the Katamari universe soon. In the mean time, it wouldn't hurt to check out the site before it closes down!
