When you have an action-packed game like Warriors Orochi (Xbox 360, PSP), it helps to spice up the action by setting the stage first. One way that Koei does this is through the use of cinematics that tell the tale and give us a closer look into the minds of the characters involved.

In these five videos for the PSP version of Warriors Orochi, Koei shows how the big bad boss Orochi created a rift in time and space, essentially snatching warriors from both the Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors series of games and trapping them in his own twisted world to test their strength. After a bit of deliberation, Zhao Yun and his allies attempt to escape the palace by fighting though a horde of clones. Other famous characters from Koei's two Warriors games likewise tread violent paths in the succeeding videos.

Of particular interest to note is the banter taking place among the various fighters in Warriors Orochi - how they can manage such chitchat while dishing out dual digit combos in the middle of a heated battle is anybody's guess.
