John Koller, SCEA's director of hardware marketing, has revealed that the PSP version of LittleBigPlanet will be staying true to the tenets of its PS3 big brother: playing, creating, and sharing. In an interview with Kotaku, Koller said that there is "a whole play, create, share component to the game, just like the PS3". Koller declined to expound on the matter, however, as the developers (it's not Media Molecule but they are giving input) are still working it out. Another thing that's being looked into is PSP - PS3 connectivity. This might lead to, say, level sharing and the like, but Koller said that no decision has been made yet. Related articles: |

» Good news but..
Let's hope Koller doesn't look into the PSP-PS3 connectivity himself, because....well, it might never happen. =/

I will make my decision based on whether or not I can play my ps3-created levels on my psp. If this doesn't happen, I'm not going to bother buying it.

I'm likely buying it either way. I love LittleBigPlanet's gameplay and am looking forward to playing it on the go.

» Yay
I never played LBP, but I saw some gameplay footage which leads me to believe this PSP port will totally revive the PSP as a unit (as well as the release of Assassin's Creed and GTA:SAS). I don't have a PS3 and don't plan on getting it just because MGS4 is on it.
But in all truth, why not add more linking between PSP and PS3, it's not like anyone would bother putting the PS2 back in the scene (it is currently the best platform out there, it never dies!!! and it has the most awe-shocking game library ever devised!).

» So excited.
The last time I got this excited about my PSP was probably the first time I turned it on. It has been a long road, milestones along the way...there was the first time I figured out to connect to wifi with it. Then the time I learned about CFW and emulation of old SNES games. Now, the best thing that could ever happen is happening. LittleBigPlanet for PSP is probably going to change the scene for at least a little while. The first time I played it on my PS3 I thought it was the most inventive game to hit the console in awhile. Now, the same will apply to the PSP as long as they keep their roots in the game's design. It will mark the first time i've bought a NEW psp game in probably a year or so. Talk about dust on the thing. (BTW, no I don't pirate PSP games. I don't support that black sheep community.)
