When they said LocoRoco 2, they didn't mean just a sequel, the adorable little descendants of the water balloon could now come in twos. Apparently, even the ever-so-happy blobs of LocoRoco are getting multiplayer features. Gametrailers caught up with Chuck Lacson, Associate Product Manager for LocoRoco 2, and here's what they've got.
In addition to multiplayer features, the jelly-smileys can now swim and swing trees. The game also comes with more music to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. More LocoRoco 2 news: |

Hasn't this been known for months?
Hasn't this been known for months?
» Sorry for the question...
The game has been out for months, why are there still "news" about it "announcing" what is already know?

AFAIK its because the game has not been released worldwide. just in a few regions...
...so there might still be some folks waiting to get disapointed by the lack of levels in that game...

I think you're right, that would make sense.
I live in Europe and it has been released here about 3 months ago.
But I don't think people would get disappointed, because there are plenty of levels in that game and they are very different in both stylistic and gameplay aspects compared to the ones in LocoRoco 1.
And this game no longer consists only of a chain of levels, but many other gameplay subjects.
It's a must-have title for the psp.

Ok now I'm slightly confused. Why is all this being treated as "new info", the game has been out for months. I bought it back in December! There is no new info...
And where is the multiplayer mode? Don't tell me its limited to them rubbish minigames. The whack-a-mole one is really poor and the shooter one is so out of place. Maybe the article should be edited to say "the adverture isn't multiplayer", the actual fun part of the game.

There is no adventure coop because it would be too awesome to be real.
Imagine what possibilities the map designers would have to create a coop-oriented gameplay. It would take the gameplay to a whole new level.
Maybe in LocoRoco 3

some kind of 20 player version for the PS3 would be fookin intense. There's a lot they can do with LocoRoco. Barely enjoyable minigames should not be one of them.
