Despite it being a fun and critically-acclaimed game, it seems the public isn't very interested in buying the game anymore, so Sony has placed LocoRoco on the Japanese "The Best" list. This means LocoRoco will be reissued as a budget title on February 22. While the announcement is in Japanese, it looks like the final suggested retail price is 2667 yen (about 22 US dollars and a dime or two). |

It's not unusual for even successful games in Japan to get best hits releases less than a year or even 6 months after their initial release. Their market is a bit different from ours and most of the time the people who will buy the game do so within the initial run.

If loco roco drops to 20-25 bucks US, i will buy it immediately. I want it but 40$ is too much.

but $20 is the price I am waiting for. Blockbuster's Game Rush has it brand new for $30 dollars though, so its not that bad. ;)
Also, the GameRush (connected to Blockbuster) near my house (Ohio, USA), has a sale going on - buy two used games, get one free. Not too shabby if anyone is interested in checking their local GameRush ;)
