There has been some news surfacing claiming that Lumines 2 could be on display at E3 next month. The latest of these rumors comes from Tetsuya Mizuguchi, whom is the founder of Q Entertainment, confirming that Lumines 2 could possibly show at E3 next month. Lumines was one of the best sellers on the PSP and is a puzzle/music game which was part of the PSP's launch lineup.

So.... a few new skins and an online mode then?

multiplayer via. infrastructure would be really cool, and maybe making the avatars bigger and with colors, rather than just the bland/bleak gray coloring.

i dunno, if it's just an update with more skins and no online mode, i'll just stick with lumines 1

Sega owns the rights to Rez, not Mizuguchi-san. :-(

Lumines is one of around 5 of the PSP killer games, can't wait for its sequel.

well actually i probably would end up buying lumines 2, just because they'll have different songs. i'm getting tired of shinin', move your body, etc etc. some new beats would be nice.

*suggestion* take lumines on a road trip and attach a casette adaptor to your car's speakers (hopefully you've got some subwoofers), and play it during those periods where the only radio signals you pick up are those mexican ones, that's what i do :-p

a port for rez/amplitude/frequency would be great (music games). ^^

 » no max score please!

Hopefully they will get rid of the 999,999 max score. :)

 » Uhm

It's a good game, but not worth paying $30 bucks for a sequel. It's very simple. They should have just offered multiple expansion packs and it would have done the same thing as a new game would do. I mean the best thing about it is it's simplicity. I don't know how they could ever make it better without taking that away.
