PSP Homebrew Shell: MACXT, mac simulator - Image 1 PSP Homebrew Shell: MACXT, mac simulator - Image 2

Because we just can't seem to get enough of Mac-type Shells, homebrew developer has released MACXT for the PSP, a shell which takes the concept a little further with its own version of iTunes and iPhoto in its browser. The catch is... it's in French.

Be sure to know what you're doing when installing the app, as the download archive doesn't provide a readme. Here's the developers notes on MACXT v2, as translated by Google from its native French:

Controls:
  • Cross left click of a mouse
  • Rond Right click of a mouse
Functions:
  • You have at your disposal an explorer of MS (Finder)
  • You can create your own programme without difficulty
  • Start-up menu by pressing select in case of problems
  • Itunes at your disposal
  • Iphoto at your disposal (created by Bizous)
  • Registry Editor meaning that any changes will be saved automatically
  • Guidance to your destination
  • To launch programs put your mouse at the bottom of the screen will appear the dock
  • At the top of the screen you have options, things do not but should not delay if I make an update
  • There are still a few bugs but are fairly minimal
  • In most programs use the options at the top of the screen (even all applications for the moment)

See, the devils in the detail with OSX. And looking at the screenshots I'm seeing something that doesn't look like OSX up close. Good effort but us Mac users are used to perfection!

You can't be used to perfection if you have a Mac.

I think you missed the point completely (aka don't be a retard).

I pay more for a Mac because I get perfection. I get reassurance of the industry's lowest dead pixel ratio, but also the knowledge that I can return a display for even 1 dead pixel.

I get perfection from an OS that doesn't cop out and crash. Right now after putting XP to sleep for the night I can't log into MSN and Windows Update is saying my time/date is out of sync (it isn't). OSX doesn't give me these problems. It works everytime perfectly.

I plug a new USB storage device in and it doesn't bring 3-4 pop ups telling me its found something new and if I'd like to install it. It just works right away in OSX.

So yes. I pay my premium and I get perfection for it. It's also why so many skins and applications for XP and Vista go out of their way to emulate OSX. There is no XP skin for OSX, LOL.

Raggedjimmi, did you seriously just sit there and lie to everyone like that? I really have nothing to say to that whole statement except Wow, nice try.

And about missing the point? No, I'm pretty sure I got it entirely, and that was exactly what I meant, so thanks for explaining something I already knew was BS, haha. So I'm afraid You missed the point, slick.

Pardon? I'm a university graduate working in the game industry. I have no reason to lie, I'm not some little school kid making a present "mummy and daddy" bought into something that it isn't. I was a PC user for years, bought a Mac in college once I saw how good they were.

Basically our whole building only used Macs - we had 1 technician. The languages and office block used PCs and required a multitude of technicians.

Really is the better system. What you've never heard about macs being better? I thought that was the argument - the premium goes to the better quality?

So nice try in discrediting me. Your achievements so far seem to include trying to discredit people you don't know with FUD. How terribly poor of you.

" Pardon? I'm a university graduate working in the game industry. I have no reason to lie,"
Who cares buddy. Doesn't mean anything.

And yeah the argument is which one is better, Mac or PC.

You seem to think since YOU use a Mac, it instantly makes it better.

That's like me saying.. Which sells better, a Mac or a PC? Hahaha. We both know the right answer to that one. Just because you like something, doesn't mean everyone else does. I'm no grade student, but if you think that, then you're the one who needs to go back to school, assumptions look so poor on your part.
