One of the cooler features players have taken a liking to on Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is definitely the GPS feature. Working in conjunction with the PSP's GPS receiver, the game's soldier recruitment feature has already been the subject of videos showing off how the thing works. |

whooo! civics!
That is really cool but no offence whos actually going to be walking around on recruitment mode??
Do you both have to be on recruitment mode??
Or does it let you recruit them while they play normally?
Really cool anyway
Video 3 is Unbearable oh my god the sound!!~
MY EARS THEY BLEED,
but awesome videos, glad you didnt crash!
I expected this would be different,i was guessing the gps would only leave you to game stores or public areas but this is totally insane. It can generate the characters in the middle of a gas stations or in the middle of the street.
We are going to see lawsuits against sony and kojima productions because morons got killed trying to get a characters to recruit in the middle of a highway.
Anyway this stuff is awesome.
The 3rd video scared the crap out of me I had the speaker up. Anyway I prefer the wifi sensor cause this way they can't put wifi in the center of a military base, street, or anything like that. Sure they may have them in military bases, but hopefully no one is that stupid. Anyway, I like the wifi sensor cause I can tap the boost button extrmly fast. On the street going 50 miles an hour I didn't miss one recruit. What I hate is that once the wifi has been found you can't use that type again :(. I also noticed in the video he didn't go over 30 miles an hour :). Anyway, GPS is cool does anyone know how much it is. I know there are like 300,000,000 or more possibilities of places to search, I just wonder how they programmed all of those places in? Does anyone know if it's generated randomly, like once you find that recruit in GPS mode that if you accidentally leave then come back that he will be gone? Maybe that's how it works, cause this is just confusing, I have never heard of a game doing this, not even gizmodo or w/e.
