W00000000000000000000000000000000t first post!!!!!!!!!
wow i take my hat off to these guys this looks gr8t al definitely get 1 just imagion what homebrew could be made useing this i will have to invest some time and have ago at making some my self how much will this cost in uk do you think and will it work on all Firmware versions :-)
very interesting...wonder what I might use this for
Wow, this is really awesome..! A touch-screen for the psp.. lets hope it won't quit like the psp keyboard..;)
ds is gonna get pawn lol
wow does sony have to rip off everyone.
This isn't being made by Sony.
this is a lame copy of the NINTENDO DS but is kinda good 2 posttttttttttttt
I was wondering will there be a touch screen keyboard if that happens???? and just think of some of the homebrews for touch screen XD
yay! 8th post
Is Sony making it? Or are other people making it?
This isn't from Sony, it's from some homebrew devs...
I hope to see this uses as a keyboard or handwriting interpreter. It would make browsing and writing a lot easier. Also, I hope some great homebrew come out of this...(DS emu anyone? :P)
No DSEmu cause there isn't 2 freaking screens. Go buy a DS and stop asking for a DS Emu for the PSP. Hopefully it will never happen. I hope to god it doesn't. And it will never be full speed anyway.
*****ing awesome. When will Sony learn?
number 11 is dumb ass, you dont need 2 screens for ds emu ! the touch screen would be enough, coz for games like DS ridgracers all you do is move the stylus about in a circular motion to steer( but we could just use the D-pad for that rendering the screen usess, which makes the point that touch screen is stupid idea anyways lol) so you could use DS emu with this but using a stylus would obscure the psp screen, so its not even worth it anyways unless you can extend it out past the psp's VDU. anyways DS is bolloks gimickey kidz toy, as people say this would eventually lead to fast web browsing on homebrew web browsers ont he psp if a fully qwerty kb is made of it or a sticker overlay with keys on that are pre-mapped by then microprocessor used for the screen
...
there goes DS's last defence...
damn this is great, web browsing and typing is going to be so much easier on the psp , i cant wait to buy it :D
So all those Sony fanboys who said the DS touchscreen is a gimmick will suddenly love this?
Anyway, the DS will still rock, the games are a million times better ^_^
This is one of Sony's Attempt and Fail Procedures. All this company like to do is steal fresh ideas off of their competitions such as the Nintendo DS handheld system. What is Sony Thinking? If They Copy Everything they will Win? I dont think so... This is why Nintendo didnt show their creative controller the WIImote early in the E3show coz they know their competitors will steal the idea and change it around, such as their rival Sony. In the End Sony changed their crappy boomerang controller into the old PS2 contoller and add a Wiimote Fuction inside of it.. Shame on Sony, they won't win again like always, coz on their minds is Win Win Win... that drives the person to Fail misrably.
go ***** yourself
u noobs...sony isnt making this, try reading u morons
BUT TEH PSP TOUCHSCREEN IS TEH FUNCTIONAL
to all non gamers, anyone with a portable machine focused on gaming ... is KIDDY
youre just perpetuating this negative stereotype
adolescent teenagers
if it is go ahead, with your funding.
DS emulation on PSP! *wick*
Its posible to split the screen horizontaly. And have two screens in one. Becouse ds screen is alot smaler, scaled it can fit 2 on 1 psp screen horizontaly (+[][]x). And loading ds roms would be mutch of a problem. But this is only a theory. This is posible but not easy. The ds is a 3d system meaming evan though it has n64 grafix it is still a complicated system.
ps-2 emu check
n-64 emu check
gameboy advance emu check
now ds emu with touch screen check
PS2 emulator is imposible. GBA and N64 are in development the only emus that are finished comlitly are SNEStyl , GB(rin),
ScumVM and calculator emus.
Why don't you try reading before you post instead of making yourself into a dumbass. Where did it say that Sony as a company was funding this and developing this? Nowhere in the article. This is completely a homebrew effort. Even if it was sony doing it you have to admit that it would take away most of the thunder from the DS because we already have a mic, we have more power, and a touchscreen would just finish it and we would have a more powerful system with the same capabilities of a DS. Hell when was the second screen ever useful? It wasn't and with this our homebrew might be even better than DS homebrew and official DS games. Because we all know that the only game you Nintendo fans swear by that is innovative is Trauma Center. The rest don't even use the touchscreen effectively. But with the power of the PSP we could have better looking FPS than metroid Prime Hunters and better homebrew that rivals official DS releases.
im definatly going to buy this. this looks brilliant!
hahaha i smell a ds emu on the psp, that will show them lame ass ds fans how great the psp accualy is compared to that crummy consol. we alread have full speed gba, so bring it on!!!
I was playing touch screen games on my SONY-Ericsson P900 mobile phone a long long time before nintendo DS with touch screen was even publicly known about. I'm not saying that Sony were 1st with touch screen gaming - but it sure wasn't nintendo DS 1st either.
DS Emlation here we come, there goes my money for buying a ds soon
how would this be handy for games? the shape of the psp would make it uncomfortable to use it for aiming. it would be cool if there was a keyboard and a mouse pointer made.
also who is creating this SONY?
who will start making games for this add on?
will the add on come with the game, like the microphone with talk man?
will the next firmware update have full support for the touch screen. an option to turn the touch screen on and off could make it more probable.
i hope this works out for the best because if been really frustrated with most of the controls for psp, if only sony was smart enough to put a second analog stick on
