Though the NFL is already one-eighth through its regular season, gridiron gaming is finally fully on the move. Following Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and mobile versions last month, Electronic Arts today announced that Madden NFL 06 for the PSP has shipped to stores, making this version the last of the portable pigskin players to hit shelves. The popular game has also shipped for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC, and PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are in the works.

The 512 also had the wifi function removed so...if you wanna play online, you're out of luck with this version. Make sure you set the cpu clock at 333...the game needs it.

im playing it on the psp and man the graphics are not was i expected but it still has good gampley though i noticed bad framerate when you throw a ball it gets all slow so it can mess you up. im playing it off iso i wouldnt know how it is on umd. probably the same, but i wish they had challenge plays on it or at least some instant replay but i guess thats not happening.

I am having many issues with my game, power meter not loading up, and screens getting stuck while loading, and causing the system to shut off. Taking back for an exchange right now, will update later if it is still doing it. Hopefully not.

How large is the .iso file of Madden?

   by Anonymous (Unregistered) - 2005-09-23

1.xgb i beleive around there, to fit on a 1gb you have to get rid of the file spchmad01 and it will fit on a 1gb, i just got another iso that can fit on a 512, according to them they took off videos and commentary, i got that one instead cause i need some music on my psp.

Whatever. This game is awesome. I have waited along time for a handheld football with nice graphics like these. It is great. Don't believe the haters. It could be better thoough, especially the graphics. I don't think it looks as nice as the other sports games.

posted earlier about the Glitch's and such... This is a known problem with the coding. Not a random issue. Took my copy back for a refund. Two thumbs down for EA on this piece of ****. Spend more time debugging and BETA testing next time.

finding screenshots for this game is virtually impossible. anyone got any screenshots so we can see what this game looks like before deciding whether to buy it or not.

...uh...possibly every gaming site in existence on the internet? IGN and Gamespot are great starting points. I read on IGN'S review that there were loading troubles with the game, like having to pause for a second or two to load a menu or after you pick a play to load the field and players. I suppose this doesn't happen using the iso loader, but considering the other problems people have mentioned even while using the iso loader...

It seems it's a very good idea to wait until *next* year, when I'm sure the year of development time will enable EA to iron out all these glitches and bugs.
