Magna Carta Portable rated by PEGI - Image 1Magna Carta: Tears of Blood didn't do so well when it came out on the PS2 in 2005, but it seems it's going to make a comeback on European PSPs. At least, that's what PEGI's recent rating of the game makes us think. Learn more about this after the jump.

Well, it's look to be time for another PlayStation Portable blowout for Sony, as five quality titles head for the bargain bin under Sony's "The Best" series of PSP games. This time around, we have a football sim, a strategy RPG, two full-fledged RPGs, and a mystery title whose name gets mangled horribly in translation. Let's have a look, shall we?

The titles up in the new line of Best Collection offerings follows below. As for the translation to our mystery title, let us know if you happen to have an idea of what it is from the covers above.
The titles will all be out on June 28, and, with the exception of Magna Carta Portable, will retail at ¥2,800 (US$ 23). Magna Carta Portable will instead cost folks ¥2,940 (US$ 24).

*UPDATE: Thanks to our wonderful commenters, we found out that the mystery title was Boku no Natsu Yasumi, or My Summer Vacation.

It's been a couple of months since we last heard news about Magna Carta for the PSP. Now, Famitsu announces the implementation of a new game system that will be available for the PSP game of Magna Carta!

As mentioned before, the portable game will follow the story of the PS2 version of Magna Carta. So, with regards to the story line, there definitely isn't anything new to see. What will definitely be different is the battle system between the two games. It seems that for the PSP, the elemental system that they implemented will be taken out. They have taken this out to simplify the game as they didn't wish things to be a little stressful to the players. The game developers wanted to keep things smooth, especially when locking in combos in the game. Without the elemental system, you can keep up with your attacks and your gameplay is smoother.

We have also mentioned how the game will have a gallery mode. The gallery mode contains character and area sketches that you will encounter in the game. The content of your gallery will expand as you meet more people and explore the world. The game will be sold in Japan on May 25.

When Banpresto announced that it would be bringing its PS2 RPG Magna Carta to the PSP, it made it quite clear that the game would be a port of the PS2 version with wide screen support. According to the latest Famitsu, we can count on a bit more than this.
