Once again we turn to the land of Japan, where a portable version of the PS2 title Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy (which is coming out in the US this August) has been announced by Gust.
The PSP port will be released in Japan this October under the name Mana Khemia 2: Ochita Gakuen to Renkinjutsushi Tachi Portable+. It'll feature a new system that allows players to train their new fighters under the teacher Gunnar Damm. Here are a few screenshots. No telling if this will ever see a release overseas, considering the rather dismal critic scores Mana Khemia: Student Alliance got. A shame, that, because despite the crap production values, the sometimes annoying voice acting, and all those damn loading screens that game actually grew on me. And no, I'm not being sarcastic. I really hope NIS America brings this one over too. Related articles: |

» Oh
Not those blurry things again.
Not those blurry things again.

Everytime I find a RPG where I don't have to fight with random monsters when I don't want to, or I don't have to do long walkings from city to city fighting random monsters, I give the game a try. Last game that had these stuff that I played was the first Fantasy Star.
Mana khemia was a good one, really good one. there are few games where I can totally avoid monsters if I'm not in the mood. And there is only one place to do the resting and buying itens and that's great. Blade dancer is a little like that but you have to fight monsters much more than I would like.
But the best thing on mana khemia was the iten doing thing. I never thougth before that I would like to do itens for so many hours.

I hope it's better than the last dodgy port they did. I almost bought it until I read the reviews and tried it for myself - it was a blurry mess, and rather than adjust for widescreen they just cut off teh top of the screen.
Appalling stuff...
