Manhunt 2 - Image 1Amid all the controversy and all the protests, Manhunt 2 has finally hit store shelves in North America. Now, gamers will finally get to see what all the fuss is about.

"Manhunt 2 has gone through much to reach this day," said Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games. "We are very excited that fans will finally get a chance to experience the magnificent horror experience we've crafted with Manhunt 2."

The sequel to 2003's similarly controversial Manhunt, Manhunt 2 puts players in the shoes of Daniel Lamb, a scientist working on the Pickman Project who ends up locked away in an insane asylum for six years. Players must now guide Lamb towards freedom and the truth.

Manhunt 2 for the Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo Wii is now available in retail stores all over North America. The game carries an M rating.

Well, i played the uncut ps2 version some weeks ago and now have played the cut psp version. Personally i don't think its worth the money and the hype/fuss. The psp versions graphics are appalling and it appears more like a psx game played thru popstation. On the ps2 the analog noise effect works to some extent (albeit annoying) but on the psp it makes it close to unplayable. The only attraction really is the violence, but as that is blurred out aswell it makes the whole experience feel like your playing the game thru a 1960s tele thats broken. My advice is to get a decent game that actually has a bit more depth to it (if ur into violence something like Postal 2), or to wait for the uncut console versions. However for the psp i feel this has failed. Some crispness and decent graphics conversion might have helped, but the hype (as often is) is more than the game.

ah come on now, the graphics arnt that bad!!

after playing it abit i think its a good enough game, i agree with you about the executions though whats that about?? shoulda left it the way it was.

This game definately isn't worth the fuss. After playing this game on the Wii last night for 3 hours, I found out that there are probably over a dozen games out there that are more violent than this. ALL the executions are completely edited, and the way that the game is played is on a different level (You want to avoid enemies not attack them) than the way that Jack and these groups want to believe. Honestly these people gave the game the attention it needed to get sales, rather than hinder it in any way. I myself purchased this game JUST because everybody wanted to ban it.
