provides ratings to help consumers understand the content of a game
before they purchase it. As stated on Nintendo.com, Nintendo does not
allow any AO-rated content on its systems. For questions or comment regarding the rating of Manhunt 2, please contact the publisher, Rockstar. Currently it's SCE's policy not to allow the playback of AO rated content on our systems. |

I agree with Metalspector too. This game needs to be destroyed and no one should ever play it, period. There is nothing "good" to this game, and anyone who would want to play it obviously has some issues that they need to work out. Fantasizing about killing people like this is not right, and you should seriously seek some help now if you have any interest in this game. I hope this game goes down along with Take-Two... It seems that SCE likes to make an expensive system, but the market is towards the 17 and under age group? Why would SCE not publish games with an AO rating? If the reason is to prevent the 17 and under group get their hands on it, then its bullsh*t if you ask me. I did not spend $600 to play games like Mario, Sonic, Crash, etc... I want realistic, world dominating, war driven and mass killings in my video games. If it wasn't for these types of games, I would have to resort to the real life violent instead...lol. The nerve of some people... Im a 29 year old Dad Who Love the Violence and in my opinion, it would be relaxing playing this game on the wii, Swinging the wiimote to kill some unreal people and i know my 7th year old baby boy would love it too... come on its just a game, we woud love to play and think that we are like the devil's rejects movie. If Sony and Nintendo banned the game so theres still hope on Microsoft. the 360 its amazing an it would be nice slashing other victims on a Online Multiplayer game.

personally i think its best to show kids the reality of the world, and not brainwash them into believing that when that one night that they walk alone through a alley along comes, barneys gonna come out and hug them, when really a killer is gonna have that spot. and its funny how all these people who're against violent videogames are gonna end up restricting their kids from so much.. but instead of lettin their kids do this and that the kids will then have to "sneak" outside and "try" all these things they dont know about (AKA drugs and whatnot). im not sayin let ur kids go out late and do drugs, im just sayin, be less strict and explain these things so that the temptation wouldnt be as BIG. and all the people opposing the release of this game, grow up, noones forcing you to play it, theyre only forcing us NOT to play it. so this is isnt your fight.

What does Sony think Us Adults aren't paying the $600 for these systems ...
We have the rating system to "stop" kids from buying games that have been flagged inapproprate. So why the "reason" for making a system that wont play AO games? Isn't that saying that the Rating System isn't doing it's Job ... and if that is the case then why are they still around??

Also, This is what Rockstar gets for trying to be clever releasing things on consoles first.. If Sony and Nintendo (tho Nintendo is no surprise, they always were idiots) have indeed put the breaks on this, maybe they'll start releasing on PC first in future.. the reason being there is more than one way to sell a game on PC.. A Steam model maybe.. Then issues like this wouldn't be an issue at all.

I think I know how this is going to end.
Rockstar will take some censorship on the game. But nothing that will affect gameplay. They just have to cut off some of the "offending" scenes, like the porn movie on the back mentioned in NGamer review and some gory details.
I personally think maybe some of that censorship won't be so bad to the game itself, as my stomach has grown some limits as I've grown older, and if the game is THAT realistic, I think I wouldn't enjoy it.
One thing is watching an alien blow up, some pixelated characters being turned to dust or some rubber zombies (like those gory movies that make us laugh) turn to a pile of blood; one other thing is to watch something that resembles perfectly like a human body being slaughtered, sawed or worse. Even worse is if you are making the movement of sawing that someone's limbs (like in the Wii version). I personally would have no pleasure in simulating such action.
As for the "censorship", they just have to "cut" enough to make the BBFC lift the ban and ESRB rate it as M. Then both Nintendo and Sony will be happy.
One thing is certain. This controversy certainly works as free advertising (maybe it was intended all the way?). Plus, if the game is as GOOD as NGamer says, it will sell a lot, and I mean a LOT. Those guys at Take Two / Rockstar are not dumb, no sir...
