MAP THIS ! - Image 1

So what's new in the latest update of deniska's Map This! GPS application for the PSP? Well, in v0.4.99 beta the build now features basic localization support (allowing you to read and write in your language of choice), basic sound, and some improvements in geosearch logic, which should allow for a more relaxed search.

If you want to test out the program yourself, just download the file. Included with it is a Russian language pack. The developer notes that in order for you to create your own language pack, all you have to do is edit the files in the russian_language_pack folder. Just make sure that your character set is defined in localization.txt.

As for installation, the developer notes the following:

Installation:
make sure that you:
-install PSP-290 version in /PSP/GAME3XX folder (depending on your OE FW version)
-install Holux version in /PSP/GAME150 folder

You folders must have following structure:
/PSP/GAMExx/
mapViewer/
EBOOT.PBP (get appropriate version)
usbacc.prx (psp-290 only)
usbgps.prx (psp-290 only)
system/
maps/

Great work deniska! Keep the updates coming!

 » Problems with the software.

App works great for me, has since very early versions of it.

You can run the software without an actual GPS device connected (290 or Holux).

If it doesnt work, go check the dcemu forum for Deniska's section and find some answers. No point commenting on the software with these types of questions.

IMO on of the best homebrew on the PSP.
