Hero

The heroic stories of Jimmy Patterson, William Holt, and John Baker have hit shelves. Electronic Arts has announced that they have sent to retail Medal of Honor Heroes for the PSP. If you've been following the development of this game, you know the details already, but just in case you've been under a rock, or you're just plain uninterested with this genre, here's a quick run through:

Medal of Honor Heroes features a new single player campaign, six multiplayer modes within 15 different maps, wireless play with up to 32 players... up to eight gamers across a room in a local ad-hoc connection, Quickplay missions, and the ability to create customized mission scenarios.

As far as the single player campaign goes, the game's got three campaigns. One campaign takes place in Holland in Operation Market Garden and you play as Lieutenant Jimmy Patterson. Another, lets you play as Sergeant John Baker and you're tasked to sabotage German defenses on the Italian coastline. And you get to play as Lieutenant William Holt to finish some OSS business during the Battle of the Bulge.

The single player campaigns let you unlock over 20 classic characters that you can use in multiplayer games. A little tidbit just in case you guys were wondering what's the point of the single player when there's so much multiplayer content.

Well, now that the game is out, does this game, "pimp" your PSP? What do you guys think? If not, why?

Which firmware will it require ?

 » firmware required

i just picked up ace combat and MOHH both require 2.81 . Both are the best games I have seen in a while come out on this system. I would make the purchase. I know its alot to sacrifice homebrew, but if you are bored playing the old school games then go for it. I just got bored with homebrew.

 » Sounds Good.

This sounds good. All we need now is a new devhook update to handle 2.81 (wishful thinking? probably). But im definately going to give this game a go. Oh and i have been a long time reader, and i just wanna say im sick to death of retards and the whole 'first post' thing. I think qj needs to make it registered users post only and then slowly ban off the scum that ruins good conversation. Get rid of em QJ!. oh and i love the site, but sometimes it just not too easy on the eyes with so much stuff.. i think a little redesign would be smart :P thanks for bringing me news.

 » PSP Release dates

it's getting so that PSP release dates are notoriously one or 2 days late. Best Buy always has games in stock one day later than the posted release date. C'mon guys, let us be able to buy the game on the release date! I hope they don't do this for GTA!

I tried it just now. Works with devhook (although I haven't tried multi-player).

 » really?

it uses 2.71? cuase i was going to get it but wanted to know if i could even play it. i got a demo of killzone the other day and was supprised to see it only needed 2.71, it's a fun demo but i wish it was longer, plus it has no game share so i can't use the multiplayer

» killzone works with 2.71 as well

I'm playing the actual killzone game now. works with devhook.

 » nice

maybe il buy it too, then again im trying not to buy any more game stuff til ps3 comes out, im hoping to get one on launch day

 » It only requires 2.71!

I just bought it and it requires 2.71. If you don't believe me, I'll be glad to post a video on youtube or something...but I'm at firmware 2.71, the firmware it allows me to install off of the UMD is 2.71, and therefore you need 2.71.
