Logo of Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G - Image 1It looks like this week's chart topper on the Media Create Japan software sales list has a very commanding lead over its other competitors as Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G enters at first place with 880,000 units sold upon its release last March 27.

The highly anticipated Monster Hunter title for the PlayStation Portable bumps off last week's number one title, Pokemon Ranger: Batonnage. Other notable titles that went on the list are anime-based titles from Namco Bandai: Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - Lost Colors.

Anyway, here's the entire list of the top thirty best-selling games in Japan from March 24 to March 30, along with their respective weekly and overall unit sales:
  1. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (Capcom) - 880,000 / NEW
  2. Pokémon Ranger: Batonnage (Pokémon) - 106,000 / 348,000
  3. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (Bandai-Namco) - 49,000 / NEW
  4. Wii Fit (Nintendo) - 42,000 / 1,794,000
  5. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: Lost Colors (Bandai-Namco) - 34,000 / NEW
  6. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo) - 34,000 / 1,524,000
  7. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: Lost Colors (Bandai-Namco) - 30,000 / NEW
  8. Deca Sporta (Hudson) - 29,000 / 94,000
  9. SimCity DS 2: From the Past to the Future (EA) - 25,000 / 74,000
  10. Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi wo Yobu Cinema Land (Banpresto) - 19,000 / 54,000
