Professor Layton and Pandora's Box - Image 1

Numbers are out, and Media Create's Japanese software sales chart for November 26 to December 2 reveals Level 5's Professor Layton and Pandora's Box for the Nintendo DS on top. Another newcomer, Nintendo's Wii Fit which came with the much anticipated peripheral Wii Balance Board, comes in second place. Namco Bandai's SD Gundam G Generation Spirits takes third, proving Japan still loves the Sony PlayStation 2.

Amidst other newly released titles made in the land of the rising sun that appeared on the top ten, Assassin's Creed's by Ubisoft's Xbox 360 iteration showed a glimmer of light for Microsoft's console. On its second week, Square Enix' Dragon Quest IV remake for the DS remained strong after selling 597,000 last week.
