Melody v1.0.2: now with tag support as well as repeat and shuffle operations - Image 1Homebrew developer Xart has just released the nifty program Melody v1.0.2. This MP3 player for the PSP has one of the best Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) we've seen, and the latest build is no exception.

Quite a few changes have been added that makes an upgrade to this version well worth your while. The subsequent iterations introduced support for ID3v1.x and ID3v2.2 TAGs as well as Repeat and Shuffle options for listening to music.

The most recent update adds ID3v2.3 and ID3v2.4 TAG support making it easier to properly sort and archive your music. If you plan on using TAGs, Xart gave word over at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum that any MP3 files with any problems in its TAGs will cause the program to lockup on boot-up. The PSP will then reset automatically.

So what are you waiting for, download the program and try it out. As with all homebrew, be sure to go over the Readme file for installation instructions to avoid any mishaps.

It locks up as you guys wrote... so I removed almost all my songs to find out which one is bad ID3 tagged.
After I left only 4 songs it boot up... (yahooooo)
But I push the library and it locks up again :)

 » Doesn't work on 3.52 M33-4 CFW

When I install Melody in Game150 folder and try run it is shown only black screen and doesn't happen. In this case I have put music in Music folder on MS. When I delete music from there the program run.
