Sony PlayStation Portable - Image 1PSP homebrew developer eculewatt dropped by the forums earlier to announce the release of a Modded PSP Flash Player. This project by the author is reportedly capable of playing up to Flash Player 7 files. eculewatt further states that using the app is simply a matter loading the .swf file to any part of your PSP's memory stick and browsing in the flash player.

That's the basic rundown for this homebrew app's, though given its absence of a readme, we advice users to drop by eculewatt's release thread over at QJ's PSP Development Forums for further instructions.

Nice concept, but I'm sure it takes up it's share of memory. So now you can run flash 7 files, but probably limited to a very small file size

NEW and IMPROVED online way of making EASY/FREE MONEY this one has alot more features with alot more ways of making money online.. you gotta try it and see.
SWATcash - Where the checks they fire are never blank!
Great, fun site with a friendly community and nice helpful admins over there. This is a GPT site that pays via paypal or check with a minimum of $15 in earnings to request payout. 20% referral commision. Extra goodies like missions and an armory and weapon shop and alliances.

Missions: When completed all missions you get extra goodies!
Armory: Buy armor and weapons to increase your atk and defense skills so people can't steal your SWATcash (not real money- that's safe with you) and you can steal others once a day for extra swatcash.

Alliances: Out of 3 alliances, you may pick one. The highest amount in avg. earnings for each alliance, as well as infiltration points (you can attack other alliances), and referrals you get extra goodies.

You can get 2 free referrals with 25 swatcash by buying the Walkie Talkies in the armory.
That got me an extra $50 in my earnings. Also the weekly contests will get you atleast $1000 plus more if you are a lucky one

Youtube is made for Flash 7, that's why it works on the Wii.

 » Regarding the issues experienced...

..we are currently investigating what could be behind some minor memory stick (and content) issues experienced by some owners regarding this release.

For now, we would like to encourage everyone to head on over to the PSP Forums first to have inquiries addressed. We will attempt to update later once the issues have been clarified.

We're sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

yeah Im thinking hell no becuase youtube requires javascript and PSP's java is kinda basic. Maybe if this new taco they call the Slim PSP uses more RAM in the browser but still pretty unlikely my friend has a computer with 189 MB RAM and about the same processor speed 400MHz yeah its sad but anyway he can't view youtube. So 64 MB probbly wont load it

   Re: .. (Unregistered) - 2007-08-07
 » ..

Youtube is flash, not javascript. Java and javascript are two different things as well. And if Sony wanted to, they could make the PSP load FLV's, they're just scared about the security risks of it. PSP's proccessor and RAM is enough to load an FLV. Your friend can't get it to run because he probably has Windows 95, where Flash doesn't exactly run too well...

"Youtube still needs javascript to display the embedded player".

While that maybe true, it already works. Take a look at some other flash sites that have SWF content embedded into them. How do you think that was done?
Javascript works fine. That's one of the things Sony didn't go cheaply on, sort of...

Re: mr toasty (Unregistered) - 2007-08-08
 » yeah

You can't do much with a 400 mhz processor computer anymore anyways.

However comparing a Windows PC and a game console is difficult for a few reasons

1. The Architecture is usually very different, a PC is designed to be flexible while a console is relatively specialised.

2. Comparing things in Mhz is irrelevant now, and only effective for comparing speeds with another processor of the same type. (eg. 2 Ghz Pentium 4 vs a 2.5 Ghz Pentium 4)

3. Windows is a HUGE overhead most of the time for things like playing games. For example on the PS2 there was (to the best of my knowledge) no operating system or anything running in the background, so the game could use all the resources. Windows PCs need to work with what's left after the OS has been booted.

"Feel free to STFU".
Oh, now you're pretty damn cool. I wish everyone could be like you.
Let me guess, 9 years old, just learned how to spell on the internet? Did you learn "WTF" and "LOL" yet?
The childish behaviour in the PSP scene is amazing.
Sir Puke, your name should be Sir Stupid (yes, it's spelled stupid, not stooped).
The funny thing is, you wouldn't even have the balls to say something like that to someones face, you have to say it over the interent.
Lame child, wish your mother would teach you some manners, rather than offering you her breasts.

Re: mr toasty (Unregistered) - 2007-08-08
 » uh, ".."

I think he was talking to El Xando, and no offense, but your comment about him not having the balls to say that to someone's face is a bit ironic since your unwillingness to even post a real name or alias.

   Re: XD (Unregistered) - 2007-08-08
 » ^.^

Lol @ ".."'s post. That was jokes.

@ Toasty, while he wasn't registered, at least he didn't go around trolling for no reason. He was just defending himself "ys" post, or whomever he was telling to STFU.

You can download psptube from here: http://66.249.91.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=ja%7Cen&u=http://nekomimi.cafe.coocan.jp/wiki/%3F%25CA%25AA%25C3%25D6&prev=/language_tools

still havent got it to work tough, need to input dev_id.
Still i think the first version works without, would been nice if anyone could make the latest version work, its just about a config file that needs a few lines of change.

No matter how much people hack it and hack it, there is probably some hermit in the middle of nowhere that probably has done every possible mod and hack you can dream of and is just keeping it to himself.

Heheh, I imagine so. You often get people in game modding communities who develop super modding tools, but only release the mods created with them, and not the tools used to achieve it.
