PS One - Image 1Some people just want to go retro. And even though it's possible to map certain PSOne buttons onto the PSP's controller scheme, there's still something sentimental with actually having the L2 and R2 shoulder buttons physically there on top. Check out this new mod from Electro: mini L2 and R2 shoulder buttons on a PSP Phat.

Sony PlayStation Portable handheld - Image 1We've seen a lot of external controller mods for the PlayStation Portable in the past, but nothing quite as neat looking as this one. Acidmods member Blizzrad explained how the new mod made use of a single 25 pin connector mounted above the PSP power switch and how it was able to connect to an external DualShock controller. You can view more details and a video of this latest PSP mod in our full article.

Logo of Sony PlayStation Portable handheld - Image 1Instead of using your PlayStation Portable's USB slot to charge your handheld, why not try and plugging your toaster into it and see if it will work. This rather offbeat concept may soon be possible with the advent of a new mod developed by Osole from the PSP-Generation forums. The USB Gadgets Connector mod allows you to connect just about any USB gadget into a modded adaptor added on the top of your handheld. Check out the details of this nifty mod in our full article.

PlayStation Portable - Image 1In a rather intricate mod, Russian developer timurmurmur managed to fit a camera to the back of his PSP. The camera not only fits inside the PSP without any protrusions, but is small and inconspicuous enough not to be noticed by those who aren't looking. According to his email, the camera he used is a Go!Cam.

Teh 0verl0rd's FPS Mod for the Sony PSP - Image 1Like playing First Person Shooters on your Sony Play Station Portable but find the controls a bit too restricting? Modder Teh_0verl0rd may have the solution. He has released details and pictures of his first FPS PSP mod. The handheld itself looks really good with its clear faceplate and back lights. However, the changes that most gamers would probably pay attention to is the new control scheme for the unit.
