PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior - Image 1It's been a rather busy seven days for the PSP homebrew community. The great homebrew hope is still burning bright thanks to Freeplay's hack for the PSP Go (that was fast, wasn't it?), and custom firmware users who don't want to upgrade to non-M33 firmware have steadily been given better and better chances of playing new games on their old firmware thanks to Yoshihiro's frequent Game Decrypter updates and the arrival of a new app called Eboot Patcher. All that and more homebrew goodness in the PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior!

Megaman 2.5D - Image 1For those who haven't heard yet, Mega Man 2.5D is a fan-made project created by Swedish animator Peter Sjostrand. "2.5D" simply means that the game is right between 2D and 3D, taking Sjostrand's definition of 2.5D of course. This new vid came out earlier today, and for those who grew up with Mega Man like me, seeing MegaMan and ProtoMan work together is fangasm at its finest.

PSP - Image 1Here's a rather cool, if unwieldy, mod for the Sony PlayStation Portable. QJ.NET forums member TokyoDrift has posted a video on the PSP Development forums showing an unmodded PS/2 ("PS/2", not "PS2") mouse connected to a PSP. It even works as an input device for games.

PSP Mod - Image 1Here's a cool PSP-2000 mod from Hawk. This particular PSP has been outfitted with a full VU LED display. You might have seen other PSPs with flashing LED displays before, but Hawk says that this one actually uses a VU chip to enable a full VU meter that flashes in sync with sound output. It even has a rumble function. Check out a vid after the jump.
